Title: LED Turn Indicators and resistor cleanup Post by: Dannog on July 21, 2009, 02:47:59 AM I've recently installed Rizoma LED turn indicators front and rear and really disappointed about all of the extra wiring and connections required for the resistors and rizoma 'black box'.
(http://www.badlandsmotorcycleproducts.com/images/METRIC-FLASH-PRO.jpg) I was simply hoping to replace the flasher unit with a Badlands Metric Flash Pro however I've got an S4RS and understand that the flashing is controlled by the ECU hence it will not work. Does anyone have any ideas how to rationalise or clean up all of this mess. Sorry Danno, couldn't help myself. Some of the US guys have done amazing things tidying up that area (Duck Stew / Spidey I think) ... but are likely to involve a lot of work. I don't have the resistors on mine and Jukie has little black boxes tucked in all over the place [roll] Title: Re: LED Turn Indicators and resistor cleanup Post by: ephophex on July 21, 2009, 09:04:06 AM Yeah put your seat back on [cheeky] Hah! <snort> I went the resistor route. I wrapped the two rear ones together in heat shrink (creating one big heatsink), and tucked them in the right sidepod like so: (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2519/3742805469_d7c46d0b22_o.jpg) It's hard to make heads or tails of this photo; but, the two resistors are just forward of the right grab handle. Maybe your two black boxes and associated wiring looms could go there as well....? |
