Report it to the police department that covers the area where the collision occured. They will look it up. If it's local and they have time they will go to the address and look for the offender. Your "just dropped it, it's all good" and "figure it out" posts were a bit vague to say the least. So..dropped what? Dropped the request for someone to look up the guy or dropped the bike? When I wrote I dropped it I meant I am no longer pursuing the driver. I wanted to track him down and kick his arse, bang his lady or the like but I lost passion and anger ( I know, I'm a cool mofo). I'm not really into involving the law that why I never filed a report. Filing a report is novel but I just didn't want to. I like the most direct approach.
