Post by: ghostface on July 22, 2009, 03:31:34 PM
I need to look up the license plate of a mofo who hit and run me today. I owe him.

Report it to the police department that covers the area where the collision occured. They will look it up. If it's local and they have time they will go to the address and look for the offender.

The thread starter can delete the thread. Or admin. Or we can just leave it up as an example of how an OP that asks for help can be completely rude after being offered help.  [thumbsup]

Sorry If you misunderstand me. I did review your posts. Your "just dropped it, it's all good" and "figure it out" posts were a bit vague to say the least. So..dropped what? Dropped the request for someone to look up the guy or dropped the bike? If dropped the bike then the hit and run didn't happen? I was trying to be helpful but we all know what that gets you these days.

No worries man. When I wrote I dropped it I meant I am no longer pursuing the driver. I wanted to track him down and kick his arse, bang his lady or the like but I lost passion and anger ( I know, I'm a cool mofo).

I'm not really into involving the law that why I never filed a report. Filing a report is novel but I just didn't want to. I like the most direct approach. In any event, he got away, I'm not hurt and my bike is fine.

Well that explains it. Good decision as well. Things like that never seem to work out the way you plan.
