Hah!
ORLANDO, Fla. - The man who created the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync has been sentenced to 25 years in prison on four federal charges.
But Judge G. Kendall Sharp in Orlando, Florida, said Wednesday he would reduce the sentence by one month for every $1 million that Lou Pearlman returned to the investors he stole from.
Pearlman pleaded guilty in March to two counts of conspiracy, money laundering and using false statements in a bankruptcy proceeding.
He is most famous for creating "boy bands" that sold millions of records. But prosecutors alleged he bilked thousands of people out of millions of dollars in a decades-long investment scam.
douche
25 years??!!
It's about friggin time!!
He shoulda been jailed after back street boys!
For life!!
I like how the judge is willing to reduce the sentence by only one month for every $1M he refunds! [thumbsup]
300 mil is a lot to pay back
Weren't there rumors that he was a little too into the boys also?
Dear god, why do I know that.
I see a new boy band in our future

**I can't believe I'm gonna share this**
Pearlman's a make the beast with two backsnugget. One of my old guitarists was duped by him. Against all of our advice, he was conned into joining some shitty "hard rock" boy band Lou was working up. He was promised the world, but it was not delivered. Lou took what little money my friend had (along w/ money his parents put up), strung him along for about a year, then basically told him to go make the beast with two backs off. He almost lost his wife and kid during the process, along w/ what little stuff they had managed to acquire. I hope good ol' Lou gets the American History X shower drill on a daily basis while he's in the joint.

The douche deserves every minute of federal prison life for inflicting those so-called "bands" on the public... >:(
On a positive note, $1mil/month sounds like a reasonable price for shortening the sentence. Make the wanker pay for his freedom.

Dear god, why do I know that.
i remember hearing a couple months ago that it happened alot. He would take the members of the potential boy bands into his house for training, and then show them what it takes to get into the pop music industry (i think you know what that means)
i always figured justin timberlake took one up the pooper for his job, and it turns out....I was correct
Dude..WTF?! you actually took time to create a thread about boy bands?!
Randimus secretly wishes he was the 6th Backstreet boy.
