I know, I know. Simple thing, yes? Well I was stupid so here's a friendly reminder:
When checking fuses with an opaque body and only a little viewing window, wiggle the legs of the fuse in addition to checking the view window when you pull it. The fuse might be broken outside of the view window and you won't be able to see the break. [bang] I'm sticking with the clear suckers now! >:(
Always check with a multimeter
If in doubt, replace.
So how's the bike running?
Just fine except for the tail light, blinkers and most of the gauges not working. [cheeky] I got a big puff of smoke from the front of the bike when I first started it up and when I first checked the fuse it didn't look broken so I thought I had blown a wire somewhere. I haven't gotten around to trying it again now that I've replaced the fuse. I'm also swapping out the clear fuel lines that I was using to trouble shoot since they're hardening very quickly and pinching. :-\ Going to put in some good fuel hose from The Hoseman instead of cheap Autozone crap. I'll let ya know tomorrow. [thumbsup]
You let the magic smoke out.
