From the September issue of Cycle World ....

Why would Buell need that huge ad to say that they will be dropping a bike of questionable reliability that nobody cares about? They may be moving forward but they are still competing against 600s with a 1200cc bike in supersport.
Why are they promoting AMA magazines? :-X
i have to admit, i kinda like the ad.

huh? it's
cycleworld...
and even if it was "american motorcyclist," the ama organization and ama pro racing are completely different entities.
pro racing is "ama" in name only.
Damn... that's the best looking Buell I have ever seen! And you don't have to pay for insurance or registration!! [thumbsup] [moto] [bacon]
I hope that helps solidify the link between the special treatment Buell gets in AMA, and the real world.
Who cares that they dropped the blast, why advertise it? I have no idea... But why give millions to the AMA/DMG?
Its a crying shame
I want an Indiana coffee table

The ad says "an AMA magazine".
Huh. Even as a cube of metal and plastic, it still looks awkward.
So what's the price of this cute numbered and signed coffee table?
Looks like there is a new logo and tag-line bottom right on that page too, "Ruthless Engineering"
"Ruthless Rule Bending" was another option presented by the marketing team but was quickly eliminated.
AMA rule bending aside, this might be a sign of things to come from Buell,
a sign to say we're done with HD's technology and we can expect more Rotax power in the future.
Great Ad. [thumbsup]

I was referring the "AMA magazine" in the ad.
I have just started to get into racing this year, sticking to WSBK and MotoGP. I really had no idea that AMA org was different than AMA racing. I guess I figured AMA was AMA. I have been following a little of the AMA Racing drama, but can't even force myself to sit through the weekly reviews on Speed.
The Buell coffee table: they innovatively keep the magazines in the frame and the coasters in the swing arm. Unfortunately, neither can be retrieved without a degree in physics.
I'm surprised that they didn't mention that they haven't changed the handling characteristics of the Blast with this from-the-factory mod.

it was, sort of, until this year.
now it's daytona motorsports group dba ama pro racing.
Only 9 more models they should do this with, and they might be on to something [beer]

Anyone seen that police bike in use? [leo]
THat is F-ing stupid!..... is it bad that i measured my living room to see if one would fit?
I now wonder what HD is going to use for Riders Edge training. Can you imagine anything left in the HD lineup that would be appropriate?

According to HellForLeather.com Buell has stated that they will continue to manufacture the Blast, but it will no longer be branded as a Buell.

All I've got to add is it's been fun, but has it been a blast?
