Post by: Porsche Monkey on July 24, 2009, 04:11:17 AM Why would Buell need that huge ad to say that they will be dropping a bike of questionable reliability that nobody cares about? They may be moving forward but they are still competing against 600s with a 1200cc bike in supersport.
Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: CMDRDAVE on July 24, 2009, 04:38:12 AM Why are they promoting AMA magazines? :-X
Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: derby on July 24, 2009, 04:54:05 AM i have to admit, i kinda like the ad.
Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: derby on July 24, 2009, 04:56:01 AM Why are they promoting AMA magazines? :-X huh? it's cycleworld... and even if it was "american motorcyclist," the ama organization and ama pro racing are completely different entities. pro racing is "ama" in name only. Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: fastwin on July 24, 2009, 05:29:34 AM Damn... that's the best looking Buell I have ever seen! And you don't have to pay for insurance or registration!! [thumbsup] [moto] [bacon]
Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: RetroSBK on July 24, 2009, 05:43:07 AM I hope that helps solidify the link between the special treatment Buell gets in AMA, and the real world.
Who cares that they dropped the blast, why advertise it? I have no idea... But why give millions to the AMA/DMG? Its a crying shame Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: Grampa on July 24, 2009, 05:47:07 AM I want an Indiana coffee table
Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: Triple J on July 24, 2009, 06:15:01 AM huh? it's cycleworld... and even if it was "american motorcyclist," the ama organization and ama pro racing are completely different entities. pro racing is "ama" in name only. The ad says "an AMA magazine". Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: il d00d on July 24, 2009, 06:35:15 AM Huh. Even as a cube of metal and plastic, it still looks awkward.
Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: m1moto on July 24, 2009, 06:57:53 AM So what's the price of this cute numbered and signed coffee table?
Looks like there is a new logo and tag-line bottom right on that page too, "Ruthless Engineering" "Ruthless Rule Bending" was another option presented by the marketing team but was quickly eliminated. AMA rule bending aside, this might be a sign of things to come from Buell, a sign to say we're done with HD's technology and we can expect more Rotax power in the future. Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: kopfjäger on July 24, 2009, 07:17:45 AM Great Ad. [thumbsup]

AMA bent the rules... :D Quote AMA rule bending aside, this might be a sign of things to come from Buell, a sign to say we're done with HD's technology and we can expect more Rotax power in the future. ^that would be cool Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. I laughed. It was a good ad. Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: CMDRDAVE on July 24, 2009, 09:13:40 AM huh? it's cycleworld... and even if it was "american motorcyclist," the ama organization and ama pro racing are completely different entities. pro racing is "ama" in name only. I was referring the "AMA magazine" in the ad. I have just started to get into racing this year, sticking to WSBK and MotoGP. I really had no idea that AMA org was different than AMA racing. I guess I figured AMA was AMA. I have been following a little of the AMA Racing drama, but can't even force myself to sit through the weekly reviews on Speed. Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: EvilSteve on July 24, 2009, 09:19:42 AM The Buell coffee table: they innovatively keep the magazines in the frame and the coasters in the swing arm. Unfortunately, neither can be retrieved without a degree in physics.
I'm surprised that they didn't mention that they haven't changed the handling characteristics of the Blast with this from-the-factory mod. Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: derby on July 24, 2009, 09:44:15 AM I really had no idea that AMA org was different than AMA racing. I guess I figured AMA was AMA. it was, sort of, until this year. now it's daytona motorsports group dba ama pro racing. Title: Re: Buell kills it's young. Post by: yotogi on July 27, 2009, 12:58:39 PM According to HellForLeather.com Buell has stated that they will continue to manufacture the Blast, but it will no longer be branded as a Buell.
