Title: Replacing S2R1000 spring. Post by: ICON on May 21, 2008, 09:29:13 AM Has anyone here done this and where did you get it? Racetech???? My rear is way to soft for me and my daughter to ride around.
Thanks. Title: Re: Replacing S2R1000 spring. Post by: He Man on May 21, 2008, 10:10:54 AM The rear suspension should be good up to 400lbs for 2 riders, have you tried getting it adjusted first?

Title: Re: Replacing S2R1000 spring. Post by: Qfactor on May 22, 2008, 05:34:12 AM I believe Ohlins and Eibach make springs for this shock.
it's a simple matter of removing the shock, compress the spring using spring compressors, removing the bottom flange, slip spring off the shock body. Reverse for installation of new spring... Remember that a stiffer spring will be great for 2up riding, but will hurt handling when you are riding solo. Try adding some preload (5-10minute operation tops) for 2up rides. Perhaps the Ohlins w/ remote preload adjuster is the answer? Q |
