If so how do you do it and what do the parts involved look like ?

You should not need to do this on your bike since it will start with the sidestand down as long as the bike is in neutral or the clutch lever is pulled in all the way (assuming your bike is functioning properly).  The way you would do it is remove the electrical connector from the sidestand and run a jumper wire between the two wires on the harness side.

In my opinion, VERY bad idea

Here's my justifications

1) I've forgot to put the kickstand up before that interlock saved me. Disabling it could lead to a serious crash

2) Ducati kickstands are tied directly to the motor, even if you dont crash, the impact at high speed could crack you engine case (very expensive to fix)

3) Unless you can give me one, I dont see any benefit to it.

I can give you my reason.

It cleans up excess visible wiring on that side of the bike and removes another few ounces of weigh ;D

Chill man, I'm not going to do it.

I'm just trying to tie in with my other thread about the piece of wire that I found under my side stand and so far it hasn't been positively  I Ded.

for my m900, the bike still dies when I lower the stand in netural gear.

I'm sure my S4Rs has always started w, the side stand down sice I can remember letting it run to warm up and I wasn't on the bike.
