Just finished putting an Arrow CF exhaust on my bike. Drain last of beer, recheck all the bolts and srpings, step back and take a look and the first thing that goes through my head is "wow, i really need to chop that tail now"
Haven't even started the bike yet and here i am searching on tail chops.
Yup. You're boned.

I do that all the time. Maybe not as fun, but much cheaper than doing your own.
I was talking with my wife the other day about how I couldn't wait for my exhaust to get back and how I was ready to get the swingarm powdercoated. My wife asked me, "Are you ever going to be done doing stuff to that stupid bike." My reply was, "When I am, it will be time for a new one."
She shut up.
See, your first mistake was telling her about your illness. I would recommend only sharing with the support group. :P

You too? If she even hears a truck go by that sounds like the UPS truck she starts giving me shit! [laugh] I'm thinking about having my stuff shipped to a friend's house to make her stop!
psycledelic, that was an awesome post!! That made me laugh out loud!! [bow_down] [clap] Can I use that one next time the wifely unit asks that same question? ;D

I am already ahead of you on that point, I have it shipped to where I work [laugh]
It's a lot easier to sneak something in when it's not wrapped up in a shipping box!
Mind you it is possible to be cured of Modittis, make a list of everything you want to do to your bike, when the list is complete, your done, then comes the hard part of saying NO!
....Just.....one......Mod.....!
It's not easy (I think giving up Smoking would be easier) But I think I am cured,
You must have willpower, the mental fortitude to say enough is en.........
OOH! look shiny Billets parts on Motowheels.com

That's one of the only reasons i have a job...
After 10 years of marriage and numerous hobby vehicles, I now craft elaborate trades in order to keep her good and confused.
Anyone want to trade a stock exhaust + $250.00 for a shift tech carbon fiber tail chop? [evil]
just freeing up some garage space honey...
Reason # 312 not to get married: No need to explain your purchases to the wife.
Reason # 17 to marry a Ducatista: She shares your affliction, and understands. And has her own checking account.
I'm glad I've left my bike stock. It was perfect the way Ducati made it. [roll]

OK, you are sick but in a totally different kind of way! [laugh]
