Title: Vids: Teaching children to be happy.
Post by: roy-nexus-6 on July 27, 2009, 03:02:12 PM
Children Full of Life, a documentary about kids sharing emotions in school (includes discussions on how they feel over the death of a loved one).

Thoroughly worth checking out. Vid 1 is posted below: the link will take you to the remaining 4 vids.

That seems like a very interesting approach to shaping young minds; teaching empathy and compassion.  I don't know if teachers would be aloud to do that here.  I don't know if parents would like it if their kids were taught like that.  I could see people being offended by another person teaching their children about life.

The teacher seems like a great man that cares about the kids.  It's too bad that if he were in the states he would have been fired in a second for consoling the girl like he did in the second video.
