I was going to replace worn (rear) sprocket after buying m900.
I just got two sprockets and a chain. I told them give me the ones same as stock (front sprocket has 15 tooth)
So I saw about 14 tooth sprocket thing here and I am considering if I should return this to exchange with 14 tooth.
Right now, when I accelerate just little bit fast, I hear clicking noise from the chain. I think it's because rear worn sprocket is spinning not together with the chain. I still drive though slowly cuz I couldn't wait to get the parts!
so what do you think? I should wait and get 14 tooth sprocket?
Since you're already changing the rear and the chain it would be better to go up 2-3 teeth in the rear than down 1 in the front. It costs a few extra $'s but you'll recoup that in chain life.
I agree, change the rear.

It depends. If you use the highest quality chain you can get, it doesn't matter. The price is about $50 or so for a cheesy chain, and $180 or so for the good stuff. My S4 broke the chain that came on it when I bought it, in Monterey during MotoGp weekend, I just put a DID ZVM 525 with sidewinder 40t rear (39 is stock) and stock steel front, I got really lucky that the chain did not go through the cases. I had thought the chain that was on there was alright, adjustment wasn't changing, teeth looked OK and the rat bastard just broke, wasn't even getting it on at the moment. So I put the best I could buy on there, and I'm not worried at all about it.
Wear isn't really an issue. If you commute, go with the 14, if you tour, go with the 15, if you carve the twisties, go with the 15 so you can have the freedom to adjust your swingarm angle.
