I was shopping around for a roof rack and was checking out the Yakima web site. Ran into this:
http://www.yakima.com/Consumer/ProductPopup.aspx?Part1=8000135&sPart2= (http://www.yakima.com/Consumer/ProductPopup.aspx?Part1=8000135&sPart2=)
"Add-vehicle specific Q-Clips (00601-00730) to ensure a custom fit to your doorframe (Do not confuse Q-Clips with similar-sounding personal hygiene products. Attempting to clean your ears with Q-Clips may result in serious Vincent Van Gogh-like injuries.)"
If anyone has suggestions for a cheap roof rack and box I'm all ears.

The Yakima rack are well worth the price.
I bought my rack about 6 years ago and it works just a great the day I got it. I normally don't leave it on the car if it will be more than a week before I use it next because there is a measurable difference in MPGs my car gets with it on. I do have the front wind spoiler too. YMMV.
Best thing is once you get the cross bars you can put all sort of different carriers on top. [thumbsup]

+1
and
+1 on the craigslist suggestion.
You won't find Yakima stuff "on sale" anywhere, they set the retail price. But, some creative online stores may discount your order by 10 to 20% if you join their "club" (http://www.agees.com/Opening.htm (http://www.agees.com/Opening.htm)) ;) )
