Anybody here going?
Would love to see more people there [moto]
You know I'd love to go but am spending my time and money getting ready for DiTR 2009. I know broken record.
I would, but I'm in Puerto Vallarta getting some R&R
Plus my bike is getting a dry slipper installed while I'm out of town [thumbsup]

Huh?? you can convert to dry clutch on the 848?
With $$ you can do anything. ;D There is a DP dry slipper kit for the 848.

It was great [thumbsup] The rain scared most of the people off and we probably had less than 25 bikes in Level 2. The sun came out and by the end of session 2, the track was dry. It got hot and the tires stuck to the track very nice. The wet first 2 sessions allowed us to slow down and learn the track before getting too crazy. There were over 10 ducs there including a new street fighter. Great day overall....
i heard the track isnt as good as used to be... :-X cones block wornout parts of the track...
Yes, the track surface has a lot of patches, but if you just have a little confidence in the transitions of the surfaces, you will notice that there is great traction throughout. They made mention that they are still going after the contractor.... But I don't know anything about cones blocking anything. The only cones are apex and reference point cones....nothing "on" the track. I'm never gonna complain about a track that allows me to come and ride for $100.00 [moto]
Glad to hear that it was a good time and you got some dry track time.
Yep, +1 to that [thumbsup]
Things I found I need to work on at the track....
Hard Braking, I tend to just slow down gradually on the straight instead of utilizing the most of it for speed and time....
Turn in point, I tend to be too early and I blow my line too wide.
Body positioning, and getting off my ass while riding, I tend to lead with my hips and not my head and shoulders. I notice that my upper body is way too high on the bike in corners, but I leaning a lot. Need to get my head and shoulders down towards the side and alow the bike to be more upright throughout the turn so I don't cause myself to lowside the braver I get.

Those are some awesome pix :o And just from reading your critique it sounds like you're getting great instruction too...
When it cools off a bit, I'm going to make one of these ECR days - looks like a great track.
