The new Power Commander is supposed to have a self teaching/learning feedback algorithm. They had to do that in order to compete with Bazazz and if Bazazz makes a unit for your bike that would be my first choice after the Termi.
With Termi you get the factory alliance and warranty coverage. Plus it works. There's a lot to be said for that and basically why I went that route. Had I known the terrible, snaky trail I was to go down during my trials with the 999 I would have installed the Nemisis. That is a another story altogether. I did the PC3 on the Gixxer 750 and that worked out pretty good but then it is a wildly popular installation on the Suzuki and had lots of support. Agreed...it just grates me that I've got to lay out more money to get the bike to run right, and I don't want to give it to Ducati...so I'm looking for less expensive alternatives... I modded a Monster like crazy to get it where I liked it. Never got the 999 to that point but made great gains. I've put pipes & an ECU on the 848 and am putting on a rear shock just to get something more than pretty decent. You'd think the initial price would get all that to start with but noooo........ You just get a great canvas to start with.
