What the hell is it made out of, diamond? Title: Re: BT56 closeout Post by: DCXCV on August 05, 2009, 02:59:01 PM Well, I'm no alphadog, but this was the stock tire on my 695 and I got 8k+ out of a rear (twice) and I think like 15k out of the front.
Title: Re: BT56 closeout Post by: weemonster on August 05, 2009, 03:18:36 PM I would seriously doubt that the hyosung (chinese pos) would last 50k.
my mates hyosing lasted a whole 2 years and 6k before it died of shitmess Title: Re: BT56 closeout Post by: mstevens on August 05, 2009, 05:18:13 PM I would seriously doubt that the hyosung (chinese pos) would last 50k. Korean, not Chinese. Hyosung was the actual manufacturer of Suzuki SV650's. For the money, their products are not at all bad. Title: Re: BT56 closeout Post by: MendoDave on August 06, 2009, 07:00:46 AM Who cares about Hyosungs? The BT56 while not the absolute best tire for hard cornering & braking, isn't too bad either and its a pretty good price. Seems like I got around 5K or so out of a couple of rear tires in the past. That was on a 996 too. It has a hard center compound so it gets a little bit squirmy under hard braking, but its great if you have to do the slab often.

For the money, their products are not at all bad. I had a Hyosung dealer tell me that they were the original builder, for Suzuki, of the SV650 engine. I'm not sure if that is correct or not. For the record, I had and SV, it was a really fun bike to ride. Did wheelies like you wouldn't believe. Even easier than the S4. |
