Title: NC Dynojet Power Commander tuners? Post by: DucHead on August 06, 2009, 02:24:04 AM OK, I'm considering getting a PCIII and having a custom map done for my bike.
I found that Bob Steinbugler of Bimota Spirit in Raleigh and Andy Rounds of SMC, Inc. in Harrisburg NC can do it. There's about a $200 and 150 mile difference between the two -- not deal breakers for me. Does anyone have any experience with either of these two shops? Title: Re: NC Dynojet Power Commander tuners? Post by: NUDO on August 18, 2009, 05:04:31 PM Do not have any experience with ether. I have recently install my PC and am waiting to dyno it until I replace the rear tire. I went over to Bikers Blvd and looked at the Aprila's and talked with the owner about a tune He also charges around "$200 and possible less if there not much to do".
So my question back to you is, Is there any reason not to have them do it?????? Title: Re: NC Dynojet Power Commander tuners? I've also heard Iron Thunder over on Atlantic is ok as well, but no first hand experience. I'd probably have Steinbugler do it since he's got more experience with Ducati motors than those other guys, but any of them should be fine I'd think. Title: Re: NC Dynojet Power Commander tuners? Yeah, both Steinbugler and Andy Rounds specialize in Italian/European bikes. Biker Blvd. is a chopper place, right? ??? They have Aprilias there? Edit: I just looked up BB's webpage...sure 'nuff they sell 'prillers! ...and Harleys too, oh and Redneck Eng. choppers. :-X Interesting. I'll have to drop in and check them out. |
