So my bike comes back from the 12k and idles up and down (not all the time) when hot.
I needed to go back to have the maint light turned off so while I'm there I ask them why it is doing this after service.
The tech tells me that the "stepper motor" has something that is worn out and may need to be replaced. I say why did I not have this issue when I brought it in?
He makes some adjustments to the bike and now it's better than it ever was but has a real hard time starting cold. He did tell me that it may when he made the adj.
FTR the bike has a stock motor with full termi and dp ecu and open air box.
When you say "idles up and down" what kind of range are we talking about 100 RMP? 1000 RPM?
I think you should sell it & buy mine...... it idles fine & it has a really awesome front fender painted by a cool guy who used to live in the Santa Monica mountains [cheeky]
