Title: Bimota DB7 Post by: Travman on August 07, 2009, 07:37:45 AM ...is a beautiful bike in black.
(http://www.xtupload.com/new/image-23ED_4A7B7688.jpg) (http://www.xtupload.com/new/image-FF64_4A7B7688.jpg) I wish my Monster's swingarm looked like the one on the DB7. The DB7 was compared to the Ducati Troy Bayliss 1098R in the latest Cycle World magazine. They liked the Bimota a lot. It sounded like a better street bike than the 1098 R, but the 1098 R had over 30 hp more and was a better track bike but only for those with serious skills like Troy Bayliss. Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: kopfjäger on August 07, 2009, 07:44:02 AM Black and alot of CF. [evil]
Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: kopfjäger on August 07, 2009, 08:02:25 AM I wish my Monster's swingarm looked like the one on the DB7. There is an aftermarket DSS for the Monster, that looks similar to that. Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: Grampa on August 07, 2009, 09:07:47 AM if I sat on it..... I'd leave a stain
Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: Raux on August 07, 2009, 09:18:49 AM that's more than just a DB7 it looks like. the normal DB7 has aluminum and possible steel swingarm. that looks like a CF and AL swingarm.

(http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm21/JonTravisKing/Misc/BarrySheene.jpg?t=1249663817) It is an awesome looking swingarm. It has the look Ducati should have gone with. Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: BumbleB on August 07, 2009, 11:35:34 AM Nice! Very cool pic, great swingarm!

If I remember correctly, it is pretty pricey. Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: peanut_man on August 07, 2009, 08:43:35 PM I think I like their DB5/6 better than the DB7. But that's just me...

Its a beauty.
Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: Travman on August 08, 2009, 05:09:11 AM Yep, that's the one. If I remember correctly that swingarm was $2200. I can't remember who makes it. Does any one know who makes the swingarm on the red Monster above. If I remember correctly, it is pretty pricey. Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: ArguZ on August 08, 2009, 07:34:55 AM Black is dull and boring....only Batman can wera black
The White/Red one is fingerlicking good.. Have you tried spray painting carbon fibre in white...so it becomes 80 opaque ? That must look great Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: MonsterMan1036 on August 08, 2009, 08:47:53 AM If I remember correctly that swingarm was $2200. I can't remember who makes it. Other than that, it's a work of art.
Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: kopfjäger on August 08, 2009, 09:02:11 AM Moto Corse I have one and it's a very nice swinger. Are they still available? Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: csp808 on August 08, 2009, 09:03:04 AM What function does the upside down dorsal fin/chainguard thingy serve?
Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: MonsterMan1036 on August 08, 2009, 09:31:16 AM Are they still available? I believe they are still available. Try Desmoworks I'm petty sure they are now a dealer for Moto Corse or Bob Steinbugler (Bimota Spirit). Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: derby on August 08, 2009, 11:32:32 AM What function does the upside down dorsal fin/chainguard thingy serve? keeps objects out of the chain/sprocket junction if "bad stuff" happens. Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: Travman on August 08, 2009, 12:00:55 PM Moto Corse Post it up. We'd love to see it.I have one and it's a very nice swinger. All of the best pictures of the DB7 are from the left side. They probably offer a Termi aftermarket exhaust for it.Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: kopfjäger on August 08, 2009, 12:12:05 PM True. Kinda like folks here with a SSS Monster, mostly post pics of the right side. ;) Title: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: csp808 on August 08, 2009, 12:40:05 PM keeps objects out of the chain/sprocket junction if "bad stuff" happens. Makes sense just looks kinda out of placeTitle: Re: Bimota DB7 Post by: Travman on August 08, 2009, 12:43:39 PM Nice, very sutble. I've seen your bike before, but I don't think I slowed down enough to check out the swingarm.
