I can't come up with words for that... perhaps.... DAYMN.
Holy shit. Why even send the ambulance at that point?
Jeses!! What's the story behind this, anyone know?
Where'd you find that picture? Do we know that is was actually a smart car? Kinda looks like the car folded in half as it crushed a smart car isn't long enough to fold enough that way.
Not a Smart car. They have 3 lug wheels. Those are 5 lug...
It looks vaugly like a GM product actually
maybe a HHR or Impala :-\
Could be:

Great example of why you don't cut off things that can flatten you.

Tell gus that. [cheeky]
[laugh]
It's in the NOLA area (the ambulance is a clue). I checked the local newspaper and only found one smartcar accident, and it wasn't this one.
That will buff right out
scary.

i told somebody pretty much the same thing yesterday regarding this pic.
theres no pool of blood. myabe he got out okay? or maybe it got soaked up...
honestly any car that isn't a full size suv, ie a hummer/escalade is going to be flattened between what is the equivalent of two dump trucks... if they had any speed what so ever, your accord or explorer is going to be equally flattened, it really won't matter if its two dump trucks..

Yes, that's a Hummer. It's not a HMMWV...

Yea that's about what I thought.
Didn't this get covered on MythBusters?
Wasn't a smart car and they were trying to prove/disprove that the smashed car would either FUSE to the other trucks and/or completely disappear in the wreckage...
My dad was a volunteer fireman when I was young. I remember a call when I was in highschool where a small sedan or hatchback got caught between the back of a garbage truck and the front of a dumptruck. That one had a person in it, and, unfortunately, the end product was similar to the crumpled mess in that picture. I don't like little cars.

They should see what happens to a Monster caught between two trucks...

Thread on Smart forum....they claim it's a VW, or a PS (of course).
Those wheels look like a Jetta to me
and
they are 5 lug
a smart car only has 3 lug wheels
The peeps in the picture look Indian. It's probably a TATA. It's a Indian car company not really known for the best cars.

The Ambulance is clearly American, so perhaps they're very well tanned.

sooooo.............if little cars are so unsafe, why is everyone trying to make my huge truck smaller and/or reduce the protection that my bumpers (2 feet off the ground) provide me?
i know the excuse is so that i cant do that very thing to the little cars, but really! the dump trucks and buses of the world are not going to get smaller.
condolences to the occupants of course...
i cant imagine how they got that body out. :-X
wet vac and qtips?

Yeah, but at least they could pick me up with a shovel and a sham-wow. No tin snips required. (plus I convince myself I could dive out of the way or something)
Well, it works in my brain, anyway.

You don't. It's a ready-made coffin.

Or between two Smart Cars.
I just feel bad for the dumptruck drivers... it's not their fault they killed some jackass that tried to squeeze in between them.

well with a smaller car the only good thing is that with any luck you die instantly and get crushed.
with a midsized or larger car it could be worse, you might actually not get crushed enough and get to live through it and be paralized/limbs amputated and actually have to live as a neck down paraplegic blind and crippled.. that would really suck..

HUH?
We don't know the story. Why would you assume that it's the car driver's fault?
Given the speed it would take to crumple any car like that, the guy in the rear truck was movin and was most likely gonna hit the other truck if the car wasnt there to cushion the blow. ;D :-\

?
um... do you think the rear trucks stopping distance would have been clear of the front truck except for that pesky car? That was no 7 mph accident.
speed bump
