My pet bat didn't make it. :'(
any ideas what happened? did the shop guys spray him with something?

I've had quite a few different kinds of critters, but never considered a bat...

Well in all honesty, they don't make very good pets. They stay up all night and just hang out during the day. ;)

I didn't see them spray him but you never know. He was very energetic all last night, crawlin all over me. I think the ride home may have fried his ears cause he didn't seem to fly right anymore. Or it could have been the shop rag thrown at him. Oh well, I tried.

I think you hit it right there. We had a whole gaggle/flock/herd of em in town today.
Put a Bat House up in your backyard. You will attract some new friends. ;)

Sorry about that man. I knew a guy, many years ago, that had a couple bats for "pets". Cool little critters they were.
My condolences as well; I've only encountered bats in big numbers or at a distance -- it'd be fun to see one up close. Good on ya for trying and for giving him/her a shot.
