According to online news:

(note, not me in the pic).
"Phoenix T/A is currently are completing a one-off Kevin Morgan "Trans Am" Concept, which we intend to unveil at the 2009 Trans Am Nationals. The concept will be followed by the first production conversion later this year. It will vary from the concept car but will be an exact version of the conversion kits we will hope to be offering this fall. We are working closely with a Detroit auto design firm to bring this kit to market. We will be offering everything from the body conversion only to the limited Phoenix Edition. The kits will be available as an installed conversion only."

Just add a bodykit, T-Tops, and a scream'n chicken on the hood and you've got yourself a reborn Firebird! [thumbsup]

Why not? I would buy it over the stock chevy any day.
That makes two of us! [thumbsup]
Honeycomb wheels FTW. (A remake of Smokey and the Bandit and yet another sad recapitulation of a cherished childhood memory FTLoss)
Now that Pontiac is no more, would be a Chevy Firebird? GM Firebird?

to each his own, I guess.
personally, I see no need for either.
Much better looking than the Camaro, but meh.
I'm holding out for a late-model GT500.

East bound and down
loaded up and trucking!
The Trans Am has always been a Camaro. Once again Chevrolet has done the ground work. [evil]
Oh, and Pontiac is going away in 10.
You guys think I can get this with my cash for clunkers $$?
Does it come with a mullet hair cut? ;D
Johnny knoxville could play the bandit
Jessica Simpson could play carrie.
Those of us that remember seeing the original SATB, have skullets now [laugh]

pretty much where my brain was going in regards to this...
I always liked the Firebird/TA more than the Camaro. I love the retro modern look of this design much better than the current Camaro. GM should have just kept Pontiac and rebooted with something like this along with the "We Build Excitement" slogan. [thumbsup]

Just one more car to prove that US Automaker's can't produce a good looking car
That thing is heinous.

How about, "We build Pontiac badges....and put them on Holdens"?
Comes with a free NASCAR wife beater and a "these colors dont run" bumper sticker too!
Next thing you know Cadillac is going to make a version of this and have it all "dressed up" just like they did with the Suburban & Tahoe.

Knew a rich (and incredibly hot) chick in college that had one. Just a fancy Cavalier. :P
She was nearly as disappointing in the long run. ;)

It's a conceptual representation - everyone's a critic.
If you think that you can do better, lets see it.
