Title: exhaust fitment question road Racing
Post by: Bartjes on August 17, 2009, 12:35:36 AM
I was wondering since most exhaust from a M900 fit on a M600, would the old road racing exhaust fit?

The OP says it will only fit on 900 V2 but ive seen 600's with this exhaust. Are they different or would it fit with small modifications... If so what would i need to modify ?

The headers on a 900 are longer.  So something like this, made for a 900 will not be a direct bolt up for a 600 - you'd need to modify the header tubes to shorten them...

Slip-ons that fit a 900 would fit a 600.  But this is different, since it includes the headers as part of the package.

So they made a separate version for the 600's? or did everyone that uses them on a 600 modify the headers?

I do not know, and info is limited.  RoadRacing has been out of business for some time, so there's no reference materials.

But speaking of - I've only ever seen them on 900s.  Do you have photos/links to the 600 you saw?
