The title says it all , does a top triple from 916 fit on a monster 600 ?
I think the bore is too big and the offset is different.
no
neither top/bottom fit.
As Norm said, both the size of the bores are different and the offset is different. It's easier just to use the front headstock from a superbike to make those triples fit.
Just thought I might piggy-back with another question of my mine:
Does Monster S4 or S*R triples fit on a M620 ('03). I came across a few of them on ebay and thought that's something I would do with clip-on, instead of the OEM triple and handlebar.

S4 triples are set up to have sorta clip-on style bars bolt onto the top.
AFAIK they'd fit your 620, but then bars would be a problem.
S2R and S4R triples would fit.
S4Rs and S4Rt triples may fit...

Thanks for the information. It's good to know about the S4 triples. I was looking at the S4 top triples + a set of clip-ons (with a few inches of rise) that would go on top. I wasn't sure if it would fit on my 620 so I didn't get it.
S4 triples would be OK functionally with clip-ons on top, they'd just have the empty holes so they'd look a bit weird.
The outer mount ears on S4 triples conflict with most clip-ons in an under-the-triple installation.
