I keep losing more and more respect for this guy.
Make up your make the beast with two backsing mind already.

i guess one of his team mates recorded him, saying he was coming back or something of that sort.. [roll]
well thast what the radio said [laugh]
and he also ended up stuck with him for one of his fantasy drafts yesterday [laugh]
lets see how he does
Vikings will still suck!

Anything will be an improvement. :D
The 2008 Chicago Bears season was the franchise's 89th regular season in the National Football League. They finished the 2008 season with a 9-7 record, improving upon their 7-9 record from the 2007 season. The Bears failed to qualify for the playoffs for the second consecutive season.
I see 19-0
so is he going to retire next season, too?
As a Vikings fan, I think this is excellent. [evil] [thumbsup]
Not every Viking fan will feel the same way I do. The whole
"I'm gonna retire. WAIT! I'm not gonna retire!" story created a lot of unnecessary drama. Nevertheless, I'm going to place an order for a purple #4 jersey ASAP. Anything I can do to rub salt in Packer fans' wounds will make every day a little brighter. ;D

Wait until you watch Orton underthrow wide open guys 30 yards downfield! ;)

Probably. [laugh]
This coming from a Minnesota native (one who really couldn't give a rat's ass about pro sports).

Ya already have seen him in action ! :P
Lets see,
Fire our head coach that had brought us two Super bowl championships. [bang]
Trade
(give) away our pro bowl quarterback for nothing in return. [bang]
But not to worry !! Our new boy wonder coach was a system that any QB can thrive in !
Should be perfect timing for getting old #4 after his third retirement after this season ! [laugh]
Brilliant!!!
I get the feeling Favre just isn't going to go gently into retirement unless he's permanently crippled. I'd hate to see that happen, but he seems hell bent on playing until he sucks or is forced off the field.

I agree. It's kind of sad, really. Jerry Rice basically did the same thing, moving from team to team, until he ended up trying out for the Broncos and they said he would be their #4 WR. He was my favorite football player ever, and I wish he would have just retired with the Niners instead of going to the Raiders.
<cough> Joe <cough> Montana
I'd keep going back for those paychecks too. [thumbsup]
make the beast with two backs him.
Yeah. I'm a Packer fan, but that really doesn't factor in. Shit or get off the pot indeed. What kind of asshole retires 3 times?

And he will want to beat Green Bay, like a Narc at a biker rally. :D
i can see why he came back and signed with the jets....he was SO close to that superbowl. but this time?
i dont know, his arm took a shit toward the end of the season.

Close to the Superbowl with the Jets? They were 9-7 for the season and lost 4 of the last 5 games. You must mean the 2007 season with the Pack?
He's got a helluva lot more support this year. More offensive weapons on his side than he had in either '07 or '08 (Peterson, Wade, Berrian, Taylor, Shiancoe) and a solid O-line means that he won't have to carry the team.
Even if Favre performs only as a better-than-average QB, he'll be an improvement over our previous years' QBs. [laugh]

They lost a lot of those games because of Farve's inept QB'ing.
And, I'm no pack fan, but I'd guess any fan of the Packers would be annoyed at his childish desire to "get back" at the Packers by signing with the Vikings.
I think that dude is past it and needs to go away. He managed to go from icon to punchline in two years. I guess he just wants to come back and pad his interception record.

07 with the packers. thats why i think he came back to the nfl, with the jets. If Tynes didnt make that make the beast with two backsing field goal. It would of been the packers vs new england instead of the giants. Im not sure who would of won that one though.
He could retire two more times and end up with the Cleveland Browns (and the browns would be better off WITH him).
Outtakes from Favre's new Sears commercial. ;D

Nope. I've been a Bears fan for about 26 years (mostly painful years btw).
I've just watched enough of their games this year to realize the Vikings had it in the bag at half. The Bears offensive line (and consequently run game) suck...making Cutler carry too much of the load. The Bears defense is a shell of what it was a few years ago. Favre has been on fire all season, and the Vikes defense (particularly the D line) are extremely good. Bears had no chance. :-\
[thumbsup]
I'm a Vikings fan, and even I was bored with this game. [laugh] The Bears were just getting pummeled.
Some good games coming up for the Vikes, tho. Arizona next Sunday night, and Cincinnati is also on the schedule. It's too bad we don't have the Saints on the regular season schedule. That's gonna be a helluva contest when they meet in the playoffs. [thumbsup]
