Title: Monster Tank Repair
Post by: Langanobob on August 22, 2009, 08:30:04 PM
Here's a link to a thread about a Monster tank repair, done by a metalworking pro.  Not sure this is the right place for it but I guess if not, our infallible moderators can move it to the right board.

In my experience the only time those measures are necessary is when the initial repair is hacked.

Being a hacker myself, I'm impressed with guys who can do that kind of work - English Wheel and TIG welding things together so the finished result is more or less seamless.  I did patch in some pieces on a couple of rusted out truck fenders.  They actually came out OK, but it took an unreasonable and unjustifiable amount of time, even for hobby work.
