Get ready for record everything prices. Besides gas at 4+/gallon, a lot of crop production is flooded out in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Corn was at record price already, and now there will be a surge in futures.
I sandbagged yesterday, and it seems overwhelming. Every town on a medium to large river in Iowa is flooding at record levels this week. Des Moines, Cedar Falls, Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City ... Mandatory evacuations in those towns.
More rain in the forecast for today and tomorrow :-\

We should. The record crest for the cedar river was 20ft (flood stage is 12), that happened 100 years ago. In 1993, it got to 19.3ft, and did a lot of damage. Today and tomorrow, it is supposed to hit 24.5 ft, definitely uncharted territory.
Luckily I live a couple miles from the river, so I am fine, but a lot of the town will get wet. And, we are just the latest emergency after the crest went through all the upriver towns.

Funny you mention 1993. One of the weather people here has said this pattern reminds him of 1993. The midwest was hammered with severe weather all summer...and the PNW never really got a summer, except for a few short breaks. :-\

Des Moines River they are looking for it to crest above the level of the 1993 floods and above the height of the levees. The DMPD is moving out of their headquarters into a high school a couple of miles away.
The flood resevoir upstream (Saylorville) has already gone over it's emergency spillway and has an outflow of 42,000 cubic feet per second and an inflow above 60,000 cubic feet per second. The Raccoon River that flows into the DSM River in downtown DSM is backing up because the water level in the DSM is higher than the water coming in. Beaver Creek that flows into the DSM River north of DSM is actually flowing the opposite way it normally does for the same reason.
And the city manager is still saying the levees will hold...Glad I live on a hill.
Our company spent most of the last 2 days pulling all of our product out of the downtown bars and restaurants to prevent it from being destroyed.
crap :-\
i hope your hill is tall enough :)
It is. My parents neighborhood is being asked to evacuate though. They are the last house on their street that shouldn't have to evacuate after that, it's all downhill to about 3 feet above the banks of the river.
Well, it is worse than anyone imagined.
I took the duc out this am and snapped some photos and added them to google maps for reference.

Mid 80's here. Hitting canyons this afternoon.
Cedar Rapids (Where Mitt lives): Approximately 100 blocks are flooded in downtown Cedar Rapids. The waters are nearing the tops of of the stop signs. Insane as it currently looks like Venice waterways and not an Iowa city of approximately 124,000 people.
Waterloo/Cedar Falls: Downtown flooded...
Iowa City: Levels are supposed to exceed the flooding of 1993. There are several areas of the University of Iowa that are or will be under water.
Des Moines: The city just asked for voluntary evacuations of an area called the 500 year flood plane. When it flooded in 1993, they were calling it a 100 year flood. They are predicting the waters will crest at the top of the levees in many areas of the city and the area near my parents house will be topped by about a foot of water which is going to greatly increase the chances of levee breaches.
I have been to pretty much all of those areas in Chad's pictures. It's amazing to see.
The State Hwy 17 bridge at the north end of Saylorville Lake is usually 60 to 70 feet above the surface of the water. The waters are currently about a foot below the bottom of the bridge.

Ironically, While Mitt and others are drowning, we're under a fire watch here in southeastern VA.
There are two fires in N.E. North Carolina, one in the Great Dismal Swamp, that are sending clouds of smoke over our area.

Levee broke in my parents neighborhood on Saturday morning.
But out of the state, Cedar Rapids got it the worst. While our flood levels were higher than what we saw in 1993, this time our levees held and we didn't lose water and power for 12+ days.

I saw on the news today that 10% of the Grain crop was estimated to be lost in Iowa alone .Although as bad as the flooding is in the Mid West , it's still not as bad as '93s flooding. DIARY OF A DEMENTED SNOW SHOVELER
DECEMBER 8
It started to snow. The first snow of the season and the wife and I took our cocktails and sat for hours by the window watching the huge soft flakes drift down from heaven. It looked like a Grandma Moses print. So Romantic we felt like newlyweds again. I love snow!
DECEMBER 9
We woke to a beautiful blanket of crystal white snow covering every inch of the landscape. What a fantastic Sight! Can there be a lovelier place in the whole world? Moving here was the best idea I've ever had! Shoveled for the first time in years and felt like a Boy again. I did both our driveway and the sidewalks. This afternoon the snowplow came along and covered up the sidewalks and closed in the driveway, so I got to shovel again. What a perfect life!
DECEMBER 12
The sun has melted all our lovely snow. Such a Disappointment! My neighbor tells me not to worry - we'll definitely have a white Christmas. No snow on Christmas would be awful! Bob says we'll have so much Snow by the end of winter, that I'll never want to see snow again. I don't think that's possible. Bob is such A nice man, I'm glad he's our neighbor.
DECEMBER 14
Snow, lovely snow! 8 inches last night. The Temperature dropped to -20. The cold makes everything sparkle so. The wind took my breath away, but I warmed up by shoveling the driveway and sidewalks. This is the life! The snowplow came back this afternoon and buried everything again. I didn't realize I would have to do quite this much shoveling, but I'll certainly get back in shape this way. I wish I wouldn't huff and puff so.
DECEMBER 15
20 inches forecast. Sold my van and bought a 4x4 Blazer. Bought snow tires for the wife's car and 2 extra shovels. Stocked the freezer. The wife wants a wood stove in case the electricity goes out. I think that's silly. We aren't in Alaska, after all.
DECEMBER 16
Ice storm this morning. Fell on my ass on the ice in the driveway putting down salt. Hurt like hell. The Wife laughed for an hour, which I think was very cruel.
DECEMBER 17
Still way below freezing. Roads are too icy to go anywhere. Electricity was off for 5 hours. I had to pile the blankets on to stay warm. Nothing to do but Stare at the wife and try not to irritate her. Guess I should've bought a wood stove, but won't admit it to her. God I hate it when she's right. I can't believe I'm freezing to death in my own living room.
DECEMBER 20
Electricity is back on, but had another 14 inches of the damn stuff last night. More shoveling! Took all day. The damn snowplow came by twice. Tried to find a neighbor kid to shovel, but they said they're too busy playing hockey. I think they're lying. Called the only hardware store around to see about buying a snow blower and they're out. Might have another shipment in March. I think they're lying. Bob Says I have to shovel or the city will have it done and bill me. I think he's lying.
DECEMBER 22
Bob was right about a white Christmas because 13 more inches of the white shit fell today, and it's so cold, it probably won't melt till August. Took me 45 minutes to get all dressed up to go out to shovel and then I had to piss. By the time I got undressed, pissed and dressed again. I was too tired to shovel. Tried to hire Bob who has a plough on his truck for the rest of the winter, but he says he's too busy. I think the asshole is lying.
DECEMBER 23
Only 2 inches of snow today. And it warmed up to 0. The wife wanted me to decorate the front of the house this morning. What is she, nuts?!! Why didn't she tell me to do that a month ago? She says she did but I think she's lying.
DECEMBER 24
6 inches - snow packed so hard by snowplow, I broke the shovel. Thought I was having a heart attack. If I ever catch the son of a pregnant dog who drives that snow plough, I'll drag him through the snow by his balls and beat him to death with my broken shovel. I know he hides around the corner and waits for me to finish shoveling and then he comes down the street at a 100 Miles an hour and throws snow all over where I've just been! Tonight the wife wanted me to sing Christmas carols with her and open our presents, but I was too busy watching for the damn snowplow.
DECEMBER 25
Merry make the beast with two backsing Christmas! 20 more inches of the damn slop tonight - snowed in the idea of shoveling makes my blood boil. God, I hate the snow! Then the snowplow driver came by asking for a donation and I hit him over the head with my shovel. The wife says I have a bad attitude. I think she's a frickin' idiot. If I have to watch "It's A Wonderful Life" one more time, I'm going to stuff her into the microwave.
DECEMBER 26
Still snowed in. Why the hell did I ever move here? It was all HER idea. She's really getting on my nerves.
DECEMBER 27
Temperature dropped to -30 and the pipes froze; plumber came after 14 hours of waiting for him, he only charged me $1,400 to replace all my pipes.
DECEMBER 28
Warmed up to above -20. Still snowed in. The pregnant dog is driving me crazy!!!
DECEMBER 29
10 more inches. Bob says I have to shovel the roof or it could cave in. That's the silliest thing I ever heard. How dumb does he think I am?
DECEMBER 30
Roof caved in. I beat up the snow plough driver, and now he is suing me for a million dollars, not only for the beating I gave him, but also for trying to shove the broken snow shovel up his ass. The wife went home to her mother. Nine more inches predicted.
DECEMBER 31
I set fire to what's left of the house. No more shoveling.

Of course, it's not East coast cold but low 30's is cold enough. Plus, the windchill put it in the 20's.

God I hate it when she's right. i only had 6 inches of snow this morning. nothing is plowed.
if i hadn't lost my debit card in the snow at the pump i would have made it into work around 9:30.
instead i ran out of gas and had to walk the XR down the hill.
kath's car couldn't make it up the same hills 30 min later.
i got a call from my boss telling me i had to come in.

i'm so glad that they care about us and want to make sure we are safe.
How about extra time to get to work by allowing you to come in late....
i did get a little flak for getting in so late.
guess i better buckle down and be a good worker bee from now on. they were so generous for not firing me for being late today. forget the fact that the last week of this month i will be working until 10 each night and still be there at normal time.
the last 2 days i'll be lucky to get out before midnight. and we won't get much besides a "thanks" for that either.
Currently it's a sweltering 12 degrees. Last night I went out with the Dog and it was about 3 am . The temperature was 10 and the wind was blowing about 20 mph which made the wind chill -9. Drove home from VT to DC last night - cold + snow + high winds = a tough trip. CT was a nightmare. Do they not plow their roads? It was snowing lightly, but it didn't look like they had salted or plowed on I-84 and everyone was going like 35mph. Spent some time sideways on that leg.
That said, I went around NYC via the Tappanzee and still made it in just over 7 hours.
Ok, woke up this morning in the north of Sweden, to a mild -28 degree Celsius = -18.4 degree Fahrenheit and it's getting colder.

Forecast for today - Winter Storm Warning: rain & mountain snow from 11am Tuesday to 11am Wednesday.
Right now (12:25pm) there's hardly a cloud in the sky (note that it was raining a bit this morning but it actually cleared by about 10-11am.) Sometime between 11am and noon the forecast was changed so now the storm is coming in about 5-6pm instead.
Who says it never rains in California?
Two days in a row now! [bang]
Partly cloudy and breezy, high of 72 today in Naples Florida. We're headed to Key West today for a week in the sun. Got out of Virginia in the nick of time.

We're getting our annual freakishly early Spring fake out.

Expected accumulation of 6-12" with near blizzard like conditions due to winds of 35-45mph...
^^^ Same here in Columbus. This is on top of the 8-10 inches we got Friday/Saturday.
SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No snow on the ground here. Hasn't snowed in 2 weeks, and even then, it was 1/2" that lasted 4 hours before melting...
We are waiting for an additional 10-20" to fall on top of the 2+ feet we already have. Currently pre-heating the house for the inevitable loss of power. Maybe after this winter the power company will start doing some long overdue line maintenance.......
It's gotten a bit chilly here. Mid 70s right now. Mosquitos are loving it. Rained about 1/2 an inch the past couple days (cumulative). Might have to dig out a long sleeve shirt if this keeps up. I did turn the A/C down a bit as my room is getting chilly.

We took our daughter down to the Phoenix Airport yesterday and remembered once again one of my favorite Robert Earl Keen lines, about a show he played in Scottsdale a few years back: "I understand why lizards live in sunny Arizona. Why people do and call it home, I'll never understand."
Here in Prescott, we're about 100 miles and 3,000 feet in elevation above you there in Phoenix -- and a steady 15 degrees or more cooler. This morning was full of black clouds, lightning, blustery winds -- and barely a drop of rain. This is the time of year I hate. All the fun stuff ends and the snow removal begins.
Once I'm in the thick of winter I'm mostly ok. This is like when I'm riding and it starts raining. I hate the transition from dry to wet. Either dry or wet is ok, but the in between (like fall) is the worst.
I still need to cut my grass one last time, drain the mower, fill the snow blower and make sure it runs and winterize three bikes.

Put all the bikes away yesterday. Since it wasn't raining I took two of them out for a 30 mile run. 43° is cold but I'm glad I got out one more time.
Looking like flurries soon.
It's winter. 3 inches on the ground, and supposed to spit a mix all day.
I should get the snow blower out of the shed. :P
I, also, neglected to wake up the snow blower.
I just winterized the pressure washer on Sunday. ;D
Now it's raining...yay. [bang] [laugh]
Clear here now. They say snow later.
B got the snow blower ready to go Saturday.
12" or so in Erie last weekend. 35 miles south where I live- dust.
Snow day.
Freezing rain on top of about 3".
We were supposed to get maybe an inch, then rain. Three to four hit the ground before changing over.
Shit.
I should have woken up the snowblower already.

Back to low 30's for the rest of the week :P
105 today on the outskirts of Melbourne. Cold meats and salad this Christmas I think.
Northeastern state of Queensland has much of the coastal forest on fire with over 130 forest fires.
I note Calfornians now have to endure floods and mudslides after the catastrophic fires.
It's been between 40 and 55 these past couple weeks. This is a full 180° from last December when we had like 6' fall over a few days.
I think this December's total was like 12" or something.
If I had heated gear I could be riding quite a bit right now.
113 expected at my place tomorrow. Early morning ride I think.
113? Yikes!
107.6 expected at my place.
109.4 expected at the range where I'll be sighting in my new Howa .223!
Should be fun. Enjoy the early morning ride Bro.
I got the clutch and brake reservoirs changed over on Sunday. Haven't ridden it yet, but will get out for a spin soon enough!
40s coming this weekend, Sunday might hit almost 50. Gotta love that in MN in January. [thumbsup]
I think I'm gonna do some outdoor shooting. 8)
Woke up to a hard snow..... Then sunny and 40 by lunchtime???
Total of 4" on the ground, and it's melting fast.
Clear & sunny 38* in Texas. We've had low 30s and rain/wintry mix the last two days.
27° and sunny now, but will be knocking on 60° today.
Still no snow here. I'm completely ok with that.
Started out at 11 below this morning...up to 17 as I post this. Supposed to get to the low 20's. [clap]

Cool change down to 97.
So far I've not had to put fuel in the snowblower and start it for the first time this season.
Looks like tomorrow will probably break that streak.
Still snowing.
Radar shows it's not going anywhere soon.
Still snowing here too.
Don't think it will stop anytime soon.
No snow here, but, weird days . . . We're supposed to be in dry season or summer as we call it, but, every day after 1200h, it gets real cloudy and a cool breeze comes with . . . Just too weird
Got a foot or so here. Just got back inside after clearing out.

106 yesterday and 113 today at my place. Ten years ago it hit 122 but it was bone dry then and I felt quite ok, but this summer its very humid and Im feeling it.

we had a week of rain and cold, a week of dry, sunny, and cold, and now another week of rain and cold.
friday/saturday were super windy, so yesterday afternoon I was leaving and pulling out into the main street, the storm drain on the main street was backed up, there was water across the entire street, 4 lanes, a foot deep at the center, ~2 feet where the storm drain is. No city crew or anything on site, it was hard to see the water and people were hitting the water at 40-45mph.
when i returned it was only getting worse, so me and a neighbor went down with shovels and rakes to see what was up.
because of the wind, the debris grate on the drain was completely covered with leaves and hardly any water was getting down. tools weren't helping so we kneeled down in 2 feet of water and started scooping leaves and trash off the grill to get the water moving. well we were just scooping the leaves back into the water where they floated right back to the drain. it was slow moving at first but then suddenly sploosh the water started get in one or two places, fast enough it was bubbling up in a big air column. once the water started moving we were able to scoop the leaves further away so the storm drain could catch up.
All this time people were driving by at 40mph with us kneeling down, completely oblivious to the foot of water across the road, splashing water at us, 8-10 feet high. crazy stuff, but the water finally started flowing. once it got down all the way then we found a bunch of asphalt chunks and big new potholes in the road. we cleared those out to the sidewalk also, to keep my neighbors from getting damage.
Another less modern storm drain across the street was still backed up. Ran across and started the same process, but this time I found a license plate and a bunch of plastic splash guards and wheel well liners - someone must've gotten in a wreck earlier and the rain washed all that shit right to the storm drain blocking it completely.
good news - cool story to tell and a free front license plate.
bad news - people who drive through my town are frigging idiots.
Snowing here in Seattle!
Warmer, drier and sunnier here than at Trouble's house. ;D

There is no snow falling here.
Couple tornadoes 🌪 tore through here earlier today, killing 14.
22 dead as of now. 23 confirmed today.

Expecting up to a foot of snow again here this weekend. Wet, heavy stuff too. I'm starting to wonder about roof snow loads....
It's been a record winter for the crap in MN, literally. The amount we got in February was the most we've ever seen. I've had enough.
:P :P :P
Strange winter here.
Still cold but snow fall this year has been way down. I had one time I had to run the blower. Beyond that I've not even bothered to shovel. I almost wish every winter was like this.
I've been running my snowblower every week both at the house, and the range.
It's also been cold and windy which never makes a snowblower fun.
I know what you mean.
Last time I ran the blower it was like 5° and the snow was dry and powdery which meant that with the wind going it all stuck to my face and made icicles in my beard
Aaaaand after a blizzard on Saturday, we're looking at low 40s and rain for a good chunk of the week.
I have a bad feeling about some serious flooding this spring.....

Yeah, tornados in our area yesterday evening.
We were on the way back from Ohio in the Mustang and ended up pulling off the hwy under a bridge for ten minutes to let it get ahead of us. We were down to 25mph and 50 foot visibility. I'm not sure I've ever seen that much rain.
We lucked out and got home safe to a home that was untouched. Not so far north that had 2" hail wrecking cars and houses.
Cold and blizzard conditions which netted nearly a foot of snow one week ago.
Today it's going to be pushing 60 and pouring rain.

Phoenix had it's first 110 degree day of the year yesterday (there's a reason I'm not in Phoenix) and northern AZ started in on the dog days of summer a little bit early. The month of June up here is generally marked by widespread whining about the weather, which is painfully hot and humid. You know, mid 80s and 20% humidity.
Yes, it's embarrassing to hear people complain about it, and no, I'm not an exception.
Around the beginning of July, in a normal year, we'll get a strong shift toward the Southwest Monsoon pattern, with frequent afternoon thunderstorms that cool things down splendidly. Until then, I'll be all :'( :'( :'(

My lawn looks like it belongs in Cali, as does the grass at the track.
Call it what you will, but definitely an abnormal weather cycle.
Prior to yesterday, we've been in the mid 90's here on the Southern coast of Maine. Way too dry, and way too hot. Finally caught a break with some lasting coastal fog, which has made for temps in the 70's during the day, and around 60 at night..... Perfect. [thumbsup]
80's during the day mid to high 70's at night, avg 90% humidity

Mountain daytime temps in the 80's
Sleeping temps in the high 40's/50

The Blizzard of 2022 didn't happen here. We got maybe 3 inches. It's hard to tell because the snow is so fine, and it's still blowing around.
I suspect Mr. I will be digging for a while.
Summer here in Melbourne has been strangely tropical. It got to 100F at my place with rain showers the other day. Most days have rain and temps in the 90's. We have had a cool change into the 80's but the humidity is terrible and smashes you after a days work. I normally love the heat when its dry, but this equatorial stuff is stifling. Not yet and probably never. It was a gift and I'm amazed it's still alive but boy has it flourished lately with our tropical weather. I'm wrecked after a day on the workshop.
If the banana tree (technically plant) is one of the smaller species you can bring it in during cooler weather. Whatever the size winter will kill it.
Yep. It suffers in winter and becomes black and shriveled. It has quite extravagant foliage now.
It's so humid its like the wet season up north with rain, floods and thunderstorms, but no cool change. There is little evaporation with puddles persisting in the heat and then there's that need to wear as little as possible. Up there in the far north they call it the silly season because people go nuts and misbehave.
It's tough tuning motors at present.

?So, you moved to Panama and didn't call? See, I live with this all year round, 10 months of rain every or almost every day and 2 months of no rain or an occasional rain shower to remind us where we are ... Do not complain
The humidity there must drive you crazy. It saps my energy. The dry desert heat of my home town isn't a problem even at 100+ compared to this weather. We would get a week in the 40's C and the road edges would go soft, but the air was nice and dry.

Saw on the news last night that so far this is our third wettest winter ever in MN, and we aren't even through January yet. It better not thaw fast this spring...
Cold. Think I'll go to Spain.
7-12" of mixed precip tonight, and tomorrow. Mostly snow and sleet, but enough freezing rain and rain to make it even more unpleasant.
Yay.
Well...they were off, but not far. 4-6" of slush.
Gonna get chilly around here over the next couple of days...

I've been in NH since '81, and right where I am now since '88. The coldest I remember is sub -20. The problem was it lasted for 2 weeks straight. At least it's sunny. The boiler isn't even running.
They're forecasting -18 overnight.
15 below right now with a wind chill of -39.
Yes, the boiler is running. ;D
Yuck!
-40 with wind right now.... :P Dogs are afraid to go out.
supposed to stay frozen right there until this time tomorrow when it thaws out to a balmy -3.

Wet and brown today.
83*, calm & clear.
We had our biggest snow storm so far this season. Maybe an inch? Glad I didn't fill the snow blower tank.
Looks like it is my turn in the barrel.
"DFW is now included in the Moderate Risk (4 of 5) for severe weather this afternoon. Widespread severe storms are expected today. All hazards are still possible including hail up to baseball size, winds up to 75 mph and tornadoes."
Ugh.
3" of heavy wet stuff.
Of course the snowblower shredded a belt when the auger clogged with slush down by the road. Luckily I had a spare, and it wasn't 40 below and windy. .Seems like it's a little short. The auger/impeller run constantly. Won't disengage. I'll run it for the rest of the winter, and see if it wears in. It's just hard to start. It has electric so I'll use that until I get it squared away.
Another 6-12 coming Fri nite into Saturday.
Tornado sirens rolling on & off here.
Sunny, windy ... Warm but doesn't feel too warm[hot for you]
Missed the worst of it, apparently. And thankfully.

Over it. :P

That's crazy. Hardly got any snow here at all the last two years. This year I ran the blower twice. Once because I needed to, once because I had people coming for Christmas.
The year before I didn't run it at all.
Well...looks like we're going to get hammered again. They're talking about 12-18" from Tuesday night through Thursday night.

We aren't having the brutal cold in February that we used to get. That could change. The past few winters have been milder wrt temps generally with thaws and mud possible anytime.
We had a very mild start, with more rain, and less snow than normal earlier. I only ran my snowblower a few times up until the last storm. Last winter it was almost every week. It's not completely unheard of to get snow in July, and Mt Washington frequently does
Just gonna leave this around here ...

Weirdest winter ever here in southern MN.
I think it's snowed twice. The only time I used my snowblower we had 3" of heavy slop. The other time was last weekend, when we were supposed to get a foot and got 1". At least the vehicles weren't exposed to much road salt.
Now we're entering a week of off and on rain...
Still snowing.
Mid 70s yesterday and today (Rockies home opener). Snow/wintry mix forecast for tomorrow. Not surprising, as April is typically the 2nd snowiest month on the front range, behind March.
Friends of mine who are avid snowmobilers in Michigan are pissed at the lack of snow this year, even in the UP!
Yet more make the beast with two backsing rain.
Might hit 80* here this weekend.
But likely more snow not long after.
It's so manic here in the spring.
Well so far we've had two light snows of a couple of inches each.
Of course on the first one the snowblower broke an auger belt. Luckily my new to me tractor has a plow. I had removed the tire chains to transport it home, and the thing was spinning like crazy. Of course the driveway wasn't frozen yet so ther'll be damage to rake out come spring.
Now we have 15 mph winds, gusting to 20, with a windchill of 18 degrees.
It's gonna be a long winter. [bang] [bang] [laugh]

Sad, scary news. I recently finished a book, "The Heat Will Kill us First" by Jeff Goodell. He wrote "The Water Will Flow" in 2017 about the threat of floods to this book. Reality is climate change is constantly changing.
Funny. Spell check doesn't like your spelling of favorite.
The weather is gross. I just drove from the MA North shore back home to Maine, and it was a 55 or less crawl the whole way.
Except for the morons in the ditch. Those guys (all POV trucks, all clearly ignoring the road conditions) were in the ditch everywhere on I-95.
Yeah...it's pretty snotty out.
I cleared most of the driveway, but left the cars covered so the rain/freezing rain that's expected later doesn't coat everything with ice.
I'll finish up/touch up what I already did tomorrow when it's over.
I don't want to go out and finish up snow removal.

Probably. I think August is the only month that it has never snowed here but I haven't been alive to see that.
I have seen snow in May though.
Way back in the day I used to be doing track days in the second week of April pretty much every year. No way that's going to work now. It's not warm enough for that until end of May anymore.
Was a mild 44 when I got up.
Now it's snowing. [bang]
We're supposed to get it here tonight as rain.
54 right now.
Autumn is here after a long hot summer. Fall is the best riding season down here in the Southern state of Victoria when you can ride all day in mild weather. The fully vented, mesh jacket will be put away as will the vented summer boots and gloves.
