I think everything is worked out as far as a trade for my 696. I test rode a gloss black 1100, which they built for me that morning to ride, and really liked the color. My 696 is pearl white and I love the look of that as well. They may let me switch out the skins when I trade in (just waiting on my credit union). I am torn between the two colors. The black looks really aggressive, but the white seems more classy and distinctive. One thought I had was that keeping the white panels may not be as exciting as getting a new bike altogether. Thoughts? I already know both are not as fast as red.

I have quarter you can borrow heads or tales you call it ill flip the quarter for you.
Bro,
I already have a black bike.
Went with natural color Monster 1100S. Red.

+1 on silver. Red is seriously over rated when it comes to adding horsepower. I think both the black and pearl look great. Black shows scratches more readily though.
the Pearl white is only available on the 1100S so you'll have an 1100 White without paying for the S.
seriously though, why not just through a set in on the price of the new bike. then switch when you want.
How about more of a mis-match "monster-ish" look? black tank skin, but CF rear cowl and front fender, red frame (have to get an 1100s), CF pipes, black powder coat pipes (or black heat wrap), maybe even with the white racing stripe down the fender, tank, and cowl...
Well, I pulled the trigger on the Gloss Black M1100. When I went back in today, I saw it sitting there and decided I couldn't go wrong with either color, but the black would be a whole new bike altogether. I have not stopped smiling all day, just sucks going through another break in period.
I picked mine up in Red yesterday. Switched over my 696 Matte black skins. I think we have matching smiles.
It has been very odd for me to be on a familiar bike, with familiar colors and familiar riding posture and look down and see the red frame. And to hit the throttle and fly.
Well, in the grand tradition of the DMF, may I be the first to congratulate the both of you. I would also like to be the first to say, Post some pictures already!
I did... over in the color therapy thread. :)

Oh HHHell yes! It looks fantastic!
That bad boy would be great sitting next to my Black 1098s.
Question 1: What's your address
2: When will you not be home

Address is:
1... Hey wait a minute...
You almost got me. :D
Henry Ford said it best when he said, "Any color, as long as it's black."

I'll post some pics up as soon as I find a nice place to take a pic. My garage is in disarray due to prep work for texture and paint. I am thinking my garage may end up with a red stripe around it.
