Title: Motovation Axle Sliders as spools for a stand?
Post by: RandyFloyd on May 22, 2008, 01:17:39 PM
Have these installed on the ride.

On the website it states these could double as a spools for a stand.  I need to get a stand soon, if these work then I can get a standard stand, or I will need a SSS stand.  Anyone out there use these with a stand?

A SSS stand won't work with those installed.

You'll need a standard type stand that is width adjustable from the looks of things.

If you get a conventional DSS stand, you'll be able to hold the rear wheel off the ground, but that's about it.
You won't be able to get either the sprocket or the wheel off, and even rotating the wheel for chain lubing isn't going to be very nice.

IMO, get a SSS stand, and pull the sliders when you want to use it.
