That is pretty impressive -- but I've got to give the nod to the previous 1906 record of 127 mph set in a modded Stanley Steamer!

The driver, Fred Marriott, crashed & destroyed an improved version of the same car the following year at Daytona Speed Week, wadding it in excess of 140 mph  :o
