I did a quick search and it doesn't appear to be a derby.

The best are the SMART cars with the Hyabusa engines. Those things are sick. [evil]
It's a good thing they put that wing on there....wouldn't want the back end to get loose or anything.
i would want full protective gear personally.
that thing was hanging on to the ground by a prayer.
this is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen
and I LOVE it [evil]
*evil villian laugh*
Anybody got a spare S4R motor laying around. [evil]
I'd throw a nice front wing on there; definitely give it a bit more downforce for stability and control.
I've always loved bike engine cars/gocarts. That thing looks like a trip to jail waiting to happen. [thumbsup]

too bad the fabricator isn't as skilled with spelling (... you're fabrication needs.)
A buddy of mine was on the race team a Wash U and there's a huge community for that kind of cart. His competitions were collegiate based so they had restrictions on motors, i.e. <600cc, 40mm throttle bodies, etc. They had to figure out other ways to make it quick like frame and suspension design, gearing (the 900 kart has got to have a 50+ tooth gear on the back) tires, and so on.
Dude can't even keep the rear attached with a I4 motor, could you imagine what the torque of a twin would be like to handle? I'd like to try :)

That sounds about right. SIU had one too. All in all it seemed pretty interesting, but when I'd try and talk to any of the team about the car all I got was a heavy dose of rejection shrouded in superiority complex. I'm just an art student, what would I know about engines??
i love it. i wonder how long the tyres last?
Looks like a real good way to get dead to me.
LA

Someone should stuff an old Suzuki GS1150 engine in one of those things. Instant carnage.
