Track is for pussies too - FM's in Texas are just for the purpuse of riding by yourselves! no cars in front - no cars behind you.
Quite possibly one of the most idiotic statements I have ever read....  Here's to you....  [clap]

Title: Re: Hico run

It is idiotic indeed. Must have been drunk. I'm sorry - I take it back! [bow_down]

don't apologize. if you feel that way then leave it out there. so what if others don't agree. DO NOT BACK DOWN TO HIM OR ANYONE!!

Title: Re: Hico run
Post by: Pinocchio on September 11, 2009, 04:57:54 PM
I must be an idiot, too. My current favorite Texas FM is FM 1431, between Cedar Park and Marble Falls:

http://www.motorcycleroads.us/roads/tx_fm1431.html (http://www.motorcycleroads.us/roads/tx_fm1431.html)

I've caged it 2-3 times, but I would dearly love to take it full bore on the Multi at about 6 in the morning.

Tracks are good for developing skill, but the scenery usually lacks. Unless you're at Old Nurburgring.

Going blue or red?

Both are good to go and I'm undecided so it's gonna be a game-time decision.  Tough choice between smooth speed and comfort vs. raw hooliganism. Not a terrible dilemma by any means.   ;)

I thought of leaving at 8:30 AM from 75&Fitzhugh (exit 2) There's a (I believe) Shevron gas station with McDonald's in it on the right (SW corner). We can meet there at 8:31  [roll] and haul arse to Mansfield ;D

This is shaping up (on both boards) to be what this club used to be like ! I love it!

Maylyn, if WiWa is doing this you'd have a good leader so you might consider it. +1 on Brians I. C. E. call! Everyone needs that turned in prior to riding. I'm guessing CC is spearheading this so talk to him. If I were not handling something more important I'd be there. In fact I may ride down for coffee and pics for sendoff.

It's an intersection of HWY 75 & N. Fitzhugh Ave. In Dallas, TX  Do you know where MOTOPIA is? it's right before it if you are going south

Yeah, go ahead and rub it in about the exhaust.   :P  Still waiting to pick one out.  The developers are taking their good old time for some reason.

I must also ditto everyone's praise for CC putting this together. Thanks loads C.
Great to see WiWa and M too. Good luck on the house. Party?  [thumbsup]
Great pics CJ, DD, Rick. Good to see Rich and Dukey Duke too.
I thought the first 20 minutes of the ride was so much fun. For the first time I looked back and there was no one but the first group of riders together. I will try to be on the Muenster run next weekend. and in the front pack too.
ditto on CC riding the shit out of that monster! Damn...staying in front RonR is a major achievement! kudos.
After the first bullet run I dropped to keep Petro, Rick and McKrautcake company. I really got a kick out of watching them ride and thought it was great. You have a good asset there Rich.

I'm really glad everyone had a safe and good time [thumbsup]  I am one jealous S.O.B.  It was rides like this that actually drawed me into the group.  This is a great group of people and great riders to boot.  There's so much you can learn by picking someone with a little more skill and just getting behind them and learning....  There seems to be a great camaraderie when this group rides together.  Not to mention its really cool to see all the Duc's, and CJ all in one spot....
