Title: Great customer service - a rarity these days
Post by: Slide Panda on September 01, 2009, 11:11:45 AM
We all have run ins with crap customer service on a daily or near daily basis.  Sadly, good customer service is a rarity these days. So I thought I'd take a minute to thank/share my recent good customer service experiences - and maybe you can give some kudos to some other hard working folks too.

So-
PJ and Paige of PJs parts.  Yet again very helpful getting me some replacements for lost and damaged bits, even going as far as basically giving me a couple things for free or deep discount for project use.

Dan of Badlands Motorcycle Products - I was having issues using one of there 'Metric Flash Pro' units on my 900 w/ LEDs.  Dan got back to me the next working day after I emailed them, and fielded all of my subsequent quickly and put up with my electrical ignorance w/o batting an eye.

Nate - our own.  Trying to work through some possible solutions for a crack in a CF piece that I mushed.

Thanks all.

I just ordered some turn signals from MonsterParts. Ordered on Friday, got them on Monday! I will shop there again.

I wont shop at motorcycle-superstore.com again. I ordered a pair of boots that were listed as "in-stock, ships same day" got overnight shipping and when they weren't here 4 days later I called. They said they were in stock and on the way from their warehouse. I guess when they say "their warehouse", they meant from Sidi. Pain in the ass to cancel that order. It took almost a month to get the money back in my debit card.

I wont shop at the nearest ducati dealer again because of the way I was treated by their parts dept. I order a speedo cable and was told it would be in 3 days later. I call them a week and a half later and ask for an update, they say it's on back order form Italy and no time frame is given(they charged my card on day one for it). A month later I get a call saying my cable is in, I go down and stand there for 45 minutes while they try to find it and try to figure out the computer. Finally they say it wasn't there and another part I ordered is. I ask them to please cancel the order for the speedo cable and the parts girl starts kinda arguing with me "you're never going to find one, they're on back order everywhere" I tell her I'll take my chances and she says "if you cancel you wont get one anywhere, they're out of stock everywhere" I said "please cancel the order", she throws her pen down and says "you can do whatever the hell you want, you wont find one anywhere". There were other employees around, no one said a thing or apologized for her attitude. So, guess where I wont be going when I'm in the market for a new bike or gear or anything. Oh, and I found a speedo cable on ebay for $9 that same day.

Sounds reasonable to me.
