We've had a lot of good feed back on the ZARD Exhaust slip-on for the M696 and M1100 (http://www.mota-lab.com/ducati-6961100-c-21_22_37.html). We have them in aluminum, carbon and titanium finishes. If you have any questions on them please let me know.

do you have any shots of the cans that arent in the studio from zard?  i would like to see some real life photos of the exhaust, preferably the carbon.  is the full can carbon or just the cap?  one last question i have is...do the zards still have catayltic converters built in like the OEM or are they catless like the termi carbon/stainless kits?

thanks!

I can take some images of the carbon silencers by themselves - they are carbon sleeves with stainless caps. As soon as we get another M1100 demo in we'll be installing these and doing a video, dyno run, images, etc... our M1100 demo sold before these arrived though! The carbon have only been in the US for a couple of weeks.

These are straight thru with no cats at all.

We brought the carbon and titanium versions to the IndyGP with us as display models and they were really well received by those in attendance! We actually have the display models at a 15% discount for anyone that wants them...

Thanks for posting back so quick. I am very interested in seeing the carbon models. If you could just post the pics here that would be awesome!  Thanks again, and that 15% sure is a nice offer. :) any word on zard making a midpipe in the future that will be compatible with the slipons I hope?

1. I'll get some images and upload them this evening  [thumbsup]

2. I have not heard that ZARD will or won't be offering the option of a full system. I would assume they will as they had both for all the previous Monsters - I'd keep my eyes open around November - they'll probably have something at the Milan show.

3. ZARD says the exhaust works well with the stock ECU. The 696 and 1100 are quite different than other Ducati models as even the ECU that comes with the Termi race kit retains the O2 sensors so the mapping is the same in the closed loop portion on the stock ECU and the DP ECU.

As soon as we get another demo 1100 in I'll be able to speak more about the exact affects of this slip-on to the air/fuel ratio... I'll post a full report.

Here you go - Aldrin took a couple of images for me earlier. You use your original silencer protectors (notice the mounting points) or you can use any of the carbon replacements as well.

The picture in the link is not doing it justice.
I saw that white 1100 in person and the FMF pipes are awesome.

Would love to get a soundclip of those carbon zard pipes on a m1100.

Are they loud? I read something about 102db for the carbon race version.

They are completely straight through so yes they are loud. ZARD says 102db which is standard for a free flowing exhaust. As soon as we get another M1100 demo in I'll post some sound clips. I have a set of slip-ons at the shop waiting for the bike to show up.

DB-Killers an option you can add to these pipes?

Yes - it is an option. We don't carry the db killer version though as we almost never sell baffled exhausts. Everyone wants it loud.

They do come with inserts that quite them down a little by limiting the diameter of the opening - but these aren't try db killers... they only quite them slightly.

I am definitely liking the look of the Zards.  How much would it be roughly to add the Decibel Killers.  Not that I want it to be quiet, but my neighbors may not appreciate it all the time.

Can't wait for dyno/performance gain information.

db killers are about $90. They are easy to take in and out... just a cir-clip.
