Title: Vent hose from gas tank.
Post by: Mike Qube on September 03, 2009, 11:24:51 AM
Stupid question......... I had my tank up last night and somehow moved the vent hose coming from the tank. Where is that hose supposed to go? Just anywhere?

If it's the same as a '95 m900 there's a little nipple that sticks straight down (if the tank is down) back toward the seat. Should be the nipple farthest back.

It's still attached to the tank, I meant where to route the hose. Does it go straight down, towards the front?

Usually, the tube is routed toward the rear. On the S2R1000, it's routed just behind the clutch and through the stock footpeg (rearset) assembly to keep it from flapping around.

Straight down and toward the back behind the rear sets and next to the shock. It usually dangles somewhere around front of the swing arm.
