Yo Matt & Co...... be careful on Las Flores.... nice stretch of oil from the first right hander umtil the first road on the left that goes to Rambla Pacifica. I slid the front tire & just when I thought it would catch, the bars started to cross up :o I rolled on the throttle & spun the rear just enough to let the front catch...... I don't know how I didn't go down....
From there on all was clear. Mullholland is fantastic except for the little sketcy part after Decker..... the two blind apex right handers have dirt strewn accross them.
Rode 33 today too.......... man that road is the bomb [thumbsup] They repaved the portion from Pine Mtn. summit to the ranger station.... road is amazing [moto]
Off to Calistoga now for some Sprint Cars........ have a good time & ride safe everyone [thumbsup]

Will definitely keep an eye out. Plus, Labor Day weekend will likely bring a host of squids and cops. Would rather stay out of both of their way.

And Matt wasn't the only one. There was a big group on a birthday ride (MetalDuc and Sachica can tell you more about that group) and I think at least 3 of them got ticketed too.
Hey, there were 2 people taking pictures in that turn and one of them was in full leathers. Was he from the birthday group? Did he get a pic of me? :P
I was in the birthday ride, and there was some ticketing unfortunately. The group rolled up to the big 4way stop on Mulholland below the Rockstore. I was in the first part of the group, so we stopped and made our turn, but a couple people pulled off to stop traffic and let the rest of the group proceed through. Copper happened to roll up right at the end and pull some peeps over for stopping traffic and failing to yield at the stop sign. Boo.
Any girl in a tutu got off though for having style points.

Coincidentally, I found another member of your group on another board. Goes by the SN Chazz. Never met him before but he mentioned your group when I was posting about the popos at the Rockstore.
Just to satisfy my curiosity because I've never ridden with you folks (I'd get left far, far behind, anyway), but what's the "usual route?" I went the far-too-crowded route today from PCH North to Topanga Cyn, then Old Topanga Cyn (gets pretty tough towards the top!), across Mulholland, and back down Topanga Cyn. Good fun. I suppose Decker Cyn is the more challenging one, but that's just from reading, not experience.

I pretty much just follow the leader. A lot of the first half is residential so if you get pinned for speeding it can hurt. The road also isn't the smoothest and if you're really picky about road conditions like I am, it can be disconcerting. The last half I'm not sure if they go down Decker or stay on Mulholland usually. I don't remember there being a building at the intersection with PCH the last time I went with them (which was years ago).
Ya don't need to be worried about being slow. I'm the slowest guy around and I still pop out once in a while to bog them down. :P They're good at waiting and junctions so you don't get lost.
Certainly looks challenging, but a lot of fun. I'm a pretty leisurely rider most of the time, but I do speed up now and then. I don't offend [leo] very often.
I might sneak up on you guys next time.

I rode with ONE HAND the entire way in order to keep my speed down. Paced me doing 60+ in a 45. They were handing out tickets like crazy.
