holy moly
:o
and yes, we've posted hydroptere stuff before, but they finally got a record...not just peek brief speeds. I like this group because the boat is not designed to simply go one direction of flat water near specific beaches like some of the other record attempt boats.
ice boats are awesome and much faster, but ice doesn't constantly move either.
I want a ride.
their last attempt: huge instant speed. not so great ending.

+1.
Video is... interesting. Do you know if anyone was injured? I'd suspect that when thing tips over, it does so
fast.
yeah, speed on one of those has to be nerve-wracking.
That's pretty bad ass!! I want a ride too [thumbsup]
What was the wind speed, there doesn't appear to be alot of white caps on the water. IIRC anytime your boat speed exceeds windspeed you're doing good.
I wonder if the have use for a slightly overweight middle-aged guy to hang off the trapeze as ballast. That looks like fun. [thumbsup]
that looks scary!
imagine a sudden change in wind direction.........
ouch!
WOW! I had to go in my garage and pregnant dog slap my kayak. That would be scary/fun/scary, SCARY!

Now that's gotta be one HELL of a highsider!
How do you unflip something like that?
Helo?
Hep me Jebus, I would love to do that. That looks really, really, really ..... scary.
If the helicopter was following, where's the crash photo's?
I've left a boat at 40 MPH (no not a sail boat). It can tear your limbs off. [thumbsup] Cool!

i was expecting that second video to have the crash.

WTF
Also that does look like a lot of fun [thumbsup]
Holy crap, talk about flying over the water! Watching the guys bouncing back and forth from one out rigger to the other looks nuts!
I want in. [evil]
I just watched more videos of that thing.
Holy crap.
It's cool to see what happens when engineers put their mind to making something simple into something wicked [evil]
