I've been trying to get ahold of some cad software for about 2 months now, and no luck. I need a part drawn up so I can send it off and get some quotes on having one made.
It's a aluminum mount for the remote reservoir ohlins shock. It's the last piece of the puzzle before I can get back on my bike and ride. Something that will clamp it and clamp on the frame rail.
I'll pay for your time as well, I just want this thing done already.

As for your bracket? Take two blocks of aluminum. Add a 3rd .125 spacer between. Draw a FAT figure 8 across all three pieces. Cross drill through the middle for a pinch bolt. (ie: center of figure-8 from left/right) Machine the top hole for your frame rail diameter. Bottom hole for your shock reservoir diameter. Cut everything off on the outside that doesn't look like a figure 8. Take it apart. Clean up top / bottom of the figure-8 -- doesn't matter that they touch. Toss the .125 spacer as it isn't needed. Clamp onto your frame rail and reservoir at the same time and tighten the pinch bolt. Maybe an hour to make? It will take longer to draw in CAD and send out then to make in your little shop. Lil John Buttera did these @30 years ago -- as frame clamps, sparkplug clamps, etc -- I've made hundreds over the years inspired by his aluminum whittling...

I'm a design/project engineer working in Solidworks, have it installed at home too. If you have a sketch, I can model it for you, and provide you with the model, drawing, and DXF files for a shop to quote. Might even have a shop we use provide you with a quote. We can discuss it of I see a way of making it easier/cheaper/whatever. This would be free by the way.

wet/dry and 600 grit at the end! (if anodized -- else just keep going and polish it to a mirror)

It's amazing what one can create with a bandsaw and drill press and a box full of aluminum files to cleanup the rest. (note: aluminum files are different then steel files and don't intermix them!) Even with all the modern mills/lathes/etc in the shop -- the basics are still important to remember.

I have a model airplane (Gloster Meteor) my father made from an aluminum block in his high school (mid-1940s) shop using hand tools...part of their basic metal working class. These days he putters around with a mini-universal bench, but he can still cobble up some cool bits by hand.

I don't have a mill, but I do have a lathe, a 4 jaw chuck, and a boring bar ('d need for the 2"+ reservoir hole). I wonder if I could chuck that thing up offset to bore the holes.

Drill/tap/counterbore the 3 pieces, bolt 'em together, chuck it up, bore it.
Bandsaw/hacksaw/file it to shape.
I'm running a CNC mill right now. I was thinking about doing some Cycle Cat clone riser clipons and top triple for me own scoot. Don't reckon it would be an easy job though.
