Title: 1100 No Service Notification (Wrench)
Post by: sroberts152 on September 09, 2009, 01:50:42 PM
I just passed through my 600 miles on my 1100.  No Service Wrench showed up.  On my 696 I got the wrench at (just before) 600 miles as well as about 25 miles before I hit 7500.  Is this normal that I didn't get one for 600 miles on my 1100?

Should come on at about 621 miles (1000km)...

I didn't get mine till well after 600, but before 700. I had the service done and they told me to just reset it whenever it came on.

and just how did they tell you to reset it? cause we've been trying to figure out how to manually reset the Siemens ECUs since the 696 came out.

It came on just before 625 today.

I'm pretty sure the reset needs to be done via computer.  Nichols didn't have the software necessary to reset my 696 when they did my 7500 service.

? they are a Ducati dealer and don't have the computer to diagnose/reset the system? how did they do they service, because i thought they were supposed to check the system?

Nichols is an independent shop, not a dealer.  They have a reputation for doing superior work, better than dealers, although "better than dealers" is generally not setting the bar very high.
