It's fortunate that you only suffered those mild injuries - your gear looks pretty rough. Glad to hear it wasn't much worse, considering the woods and all.
Title: Re: Wear your gear Post by: KnightofNi on September 10, 2009, 10:44:49 AM what were you doing on a dirt road at 80mph on the duc?

I figured more would see it in general. Title: Re: Wear your gear Post by: eesnas on September 10, 2009, 06:51:59 PM Always wear the gear!!!
I cringe when I see people without helmets and/or gear, it's a choice where I live but my brain and body are too important not to protect. I can understand people might not want to wear leather pants with all the pads but there are plenty of Kevlar lined jeans with the knee pads inside that look just like regular jeans, it just makes no sense to me why people so often don't wear this stuff. Riding is dangerous enough with all the crazy idiots out there with their "mobile office" mentality toward driving, why people choose not to wear gear is beyond me and it seems irresponsible. I wear a full face Arai, Icon gloves, Alpinestars leather with the pads, Draggin jeans with the pads, and Double H harness boots- all this stuff looks good enough to go into a restaurant with and also keeps me feeling safe, I don't even ride aggressive I just want to ensure I get home in one piece everytime. Title: Re: Wear your gear Post by: EvilSteve on September 10, 2009, 07:59:49 PM Glad you're ok Jake, looks as though it could have been a lot worse. PM me if you need anything.

It's good advice.
Glad you survived. Heal quickly! Title: Re: Wear your gear Post by: EvilSteve on September 12, 2009, 07:15:39 AM Peekamoose can be pretty sketchy in places Jake. Glad you're ok but there are better roads to light it up on. It could have been a lot worse too, there are a bunch of drop offs on that road and the creek.
Totally sucks dude, at least ECS have something to play with now. ;) Get you some drugs and heal fast mate. Title: Re: Wear your gear Post by: MadDuck on September 12, 2009, 03:15:27 PM It's just those pesky superbikes. They have a way too easy way of going faster than you think you are and making you feel good about it. ;D Heal quickly.
