Title: Which hose connects directly to the pressure regulator?
Post by: scription on September 16, 2009, 06:34:13 PM
Hi all, first post!

I got my tank painted on my '02 Monster, but I'm not confident in my labeling of the hoses that connect to the tank. Is it the 'delivery' hose that connects directly to the pressure regulator, or the 'return/backflow' hose? (One hose connects to the pressure regulator, while the other connects to an injector.)

Thanks very much!

David

Thanks for your reply!

I finally figured it out based on a 2004 repair manual - the delivery hose goes directly to the fuel injector, while the return/backflow hose connects directly to the pressure regulator. (If you're sitting on the bike, the delivery spout/nipple on the underside of the tank is the one closest to you, with the return spout directly above it.)

Hope that helps someone in the future...
