today I spotted a Metallic Monster that might have been an '01 900 with stock pipes and stock look about it...rider was wearing black jacket and jeans and a dark helmet...this was 7:01am on River Road headed towards DC as you were rolling up to the light at Little Falls Parkway....I was walking down Bulter road with my morning 7-11 coffee....

why you gots to go and make confusion......please change name to CAM Spottings!!....you are hurting my brain

Gloss black on red 695 Thursday night on King St in Old Town going 2-up.  This evening the same 695 headed from Walter Reed towards Shirlington Villiage.

Rider in black helmet and black jacket w/ 3 silver stripes on the sleeves.  Think it might be an icon make that zips off.

Got you covered Double E.....I fixed it for your alzheimers there old man!...wouldn't want you to post up something from a delusional visual or otherwise malfunction...

1120: GWP southbound red xx9 just past the Key Bridge underpass
1330: GWP northbound red Hypermotard just past the Glebe Road overpass

Thursday 9pm - Red S2R* parked at the corner of westbound K St NW & 17th St.  Something small was strapped to the side.

Ryan and I were at Lauriol Plaza outside Friday night and I am pretty sure it was Rod we saw heading up 18th Street towards Asylum. Black 80's logo jack, Silver Monster with Black stripe. Hi Rod!

10pm Sat - Dark parked next to an alleyway near Lauriol Plaza.

3:10 ish....Dupont Circle, Red Monster, rider with Black leather 80's jacket, orange North Face Back pack and Puma shoes.

Red hypermotard near 12th st this morning? 

This morning ~9 something on 27, right by the pentagon.  Some make of 2000+ monster with high CF pipe no seat cowl and a rider in grey and black came off the HOV lanes and slipped by me.  Never got a good look.

This evening just before 7, a red S2R800 parked on N at 14th NW.

And not ducs, but a bunch of classic Brit bikes running around that same area.  A Royal Enfield, a Triumph and another vert twin.

Today going S on 395 (got off at Seminary I think).

Black (not dark) classic style with low pipes (maybe forza) came zipping up through light traffic.  Rider was wearing all black leathers.  This was around 12:00 to 12:30

I was in the HOV lanes headed S so it was hard to make out the details.

Black 1098S on I street and Connecticut?  You pulled up next to me (white 848) and we both gave a big ole  [thumbsup].

Couldn't see you because of the smoked visor.

Tues 10pm - Dark with stock low mounts parked on a corner, off of Connecticut Ave NW in Chevy Chase, DC.  I feel iffy about giving out parking locations in case someone parks there regularly and someone else decides to "move" it.

5-23 ~0630 Multistrada at the intersection of Rolling Rd. and Old Keene Mill in Springfield, VA  We gave each other the  [thumbsup].

Friday 5:56pm - Dark with dual sided carbon high mounts, rider wearing a black t-shirt and an opened dark grey modular helmet, heading west on M St past New Hampshire.  Spotted you a few weeks ago on TOB heading west on Massachusetts at 15th.

Saturday - Met a Silver Spring chica with a leather 80s Ducati jacket who rode her red 620 to a BBQ in Takoma Park, MD.  Hopefully she'll make her way onto the DMF and CAM soon.

Heading out of Front Royal this morning I saw a 695 red frame/black tank (Mike?) and another Monster but didn't get a good look. Were ya'll headed to the parkway? I just came off it. Followed a nice beemer down the mountain and through F. Royal. It was pretty fast being yellow and all

Rt. 15 near Thurmont, a red Monster and what looked like a red 1098.  You were traveling together headed south, I was headed north on the blue monster. 
ALSO -
Rt. 15 north at the Rt. 26 exit, a yellow sport classic.  I waved at you to "come along" and you caught me (heavy traffic) just south of Thurmont.  We rode at a "spirited pace"  [leo] until I passed you and you exited at Rt. 77 in Thurmont, I assume headed west.   

This is a record for me - 3 ducati's in one day!  ;D  Actually saw 4 as a co-worker at motorcycle class had a supersport.

Memorial Day around 5 PM: Red/white S2R or S2R1000, in Annapolis down by the water.  Solo rider.

Today, around 630, red/white S2R1k, cruising through Fairfax.   Rider had a black/yellow jacket and helmet. (I think it was black and yellow).  Sounded very stock.

Wed 9am - Solid black with fairing and black low mounts turning left from the Key Bridge into Georgetown.  Rider wore black gear and a black w/blue helmet.

9:12am - Solid black with fairing on 267E merging onto 66E.

This morning Thursday the 29th all black gear black helmet with tinted visor on a ducati 620 i dont know the year on new hampshire ave going towards colesville road!

Thurs 1:39pm (?) - Dark turning from Waxpool onto Pacific Blvd by Wegman's.  Rider wore a black textile jacket and a solid silver helmet.

5/30...Red monster parked in the garage on West Ox and Monument Dr.

Sun 6pm - In front of my apt near Scott/Logan Circle - Yellow 750SS with black rattle-canned stock pipes, flush mount signals broken on right side, and painted rash marks on left side body panels.  Parked next to a chained-up scooter off of the curb.

Mid afternoon on 6/1 while on rt. 9 south of Berkeley Springs, WV, I stopped to clean my visor at an overlook (or perhaps "The Overlook").  There was a group of sportbikes there, including a 748.  The 748's owner said they were from a club in Cumberland (on the border of MD and WV).  I didn't get his name.

Ride was very good except that by the time I got partway through the best stretches of rt 9, the road had become wet from what were apparently brief downpours.  I did rt. 9 fromAshburn/ Leesburg, VA and from rt 9 in WV, I took rt. 29 to rt. 50 back to VA.  Since I'd already been rained on briefly a few times, I opted to take the quick way home on rt. 7 back to Ashburn from Winchester.

Sunday, around 2:15: Red frame/black tank, presumably a 695, headed west bound on the GW Pkwy.  I didn't get a chance to catch more details as the Maserati Quattroporte in front of me hit the brakes, demanding my attention.  I was eastbound on a black Multistrada, wearing an orange helmet.

~1:40 pm Southbound Georgia Ave, just before the metro track over pass.

A carby 900 with Chartreuse colored wheels and belt cover, sporting some polished cans and a fancy integrated LED tail.  Rider was in a white Suomy or Arai Helmet w/ what looked to be some make of Ducati jacket.

Never seen that oen before - I'd remember those belt covers anyplace

Termi'd, red framed black 695 heading N on Conn Ave making a left on Bradley.  Rider wearing a black A*s jacket I think.

Sunday at 7-7:30-ish...saw a red Monster on 99 headed towards 29...had bar end mirrors and that was all I could make out based on the topography and pass...was going the other way in a white Volvo....

Last Friday, yellow monster, parked by the Red Cross HQ in DC, Saturday I saw a black and gold Duc by the Buzz coffee in Alexandria.

That sounds like my friend's GT1000 with custom paint.  He lives near there and was on his way to meet me for a ride.

Today,
 695 black and red on 695 north of Baltimore heading east about 3 miles before 83.

Tues 9:30am - Stock low cans and black frame, so I guess a Dark tank, with barends heading west from the beginning of 66.  Rider wore a black and white leather Icon jacket with matching helmet, and blue jeans.

FAIRFAX,VA  noon on Sunday

Rider waiting to turn left onto Rt-236/50.  Red tank monster, might have been an M750.  Rider had a black jacket and red/grey/black (?) helmet on.  I honked at you, you turned and I waved (Dark Volvo with an air horn!)

Saturday 1pm - Red on red heading south on 18th St NW past Lauriol Plaza.

Also nearby was a Dark with black rattle-canned pipes with yellow Jolly Rogers on them.  DCDuck?

Yeah, they do.  There's just a lot more monsters and Ducs running around than visit this site.  But I know I've been spotted and spotted other CAM'ers I recognized on site.

Sunday 5:45 at Red Eyes, red 1098 and red 1000S I was going in to observe the festivities

Monday, a bit before 10am (I think).  Coming up 95 onto 495 and then off to 295.  Grayish, open headers, ,tail chop, looked like blinkers in the frame holes, and a checkered flag helmet. 

Oh, it also had a modulating headlight.  It was behind me as we were going onto 495 and every time we went under a bridge the shadow turned the modulating off.  Do they all do that?  I thought it was a switch.

law requires a sensor to turn off the modulus in low light

Last night, red 695 parked on the sidewalk outside Veritas (Connecticut and Florida Aves NW). Rider had a matching red helmet. I was the guy on crutches waiting for a table.

i am sure that sucks, but did you throw that in for sympathy?   not raggin on you, but that would bring a tear to my eye if i saw you out like that, wearing your jacket and gloves and all banged up... :'(

Tuesday 1530 a 749 Dark pulled up to the Express Fuel at the corner of Loisdale and 7100.  Rider was wearing a helmet with black, white, and gray graphics and a backpack.  I was the chick in the blue STi waiting at that light ogling the bike.  I love the look of the xx9 series bikes now, for some odd reason.

Tues 3:15pm - Skurvy parked in front of La Madeleine in Reston.  Nice Quat-D high mounts [thumbsup].

Wed. at approx 5:20pm....a CHROMO ridden by rgrmjet on Little Falls Pkwy going towards River as I was headed home going the other way on my Cagiva Gran Canyon...hope on your lil running around you didn't get caught in the downpours that came soon afterward!

Dammit you stole my headline!!  "Elephant Spotted Stampeding on Little Falls!".  I got a little  damp but nothing too bad.   [thumbsup]

Red stock s2r going toward the Kennedy Center on Rock Creek park this morning around 10:30am. I was in a black s2r 1000 wearing a Dainese Bora jacket and an AGV Rossi replica.

Not me Andy. It might have been Rob (Dutch900 on Ducati.ms). Our ST's are the same color and he lives in Severn.

I havent ridden to work in about a month. My wife and I commute together in our TDI to save money on gas. Were 10 mins apart. She's in Savage and I'm in Columbia. The only riding i've been doing is officaiting at bicycle races on the weekends. I now get my 300 miles a week in one day instead of spreading it out.

6/28 10:30ish? - Black 696 spotted southbound on Wisconsin Ave. right near The Shops at Georgetown Park. Rider had black+white leather jacket and jeans.

1200 or so on Tuesday, a silver/black stripe S2R1k going east on 7900 making a left onto northbound Beulah and then an immediate right into the Manchester Lakes shopping center.  I was trying to explain to the passengers about how I knew it was a 1000.  "Hear that clackety clack?  Yeah, that's it."

Spotted a black 696 with bar end mirrors headed towards Front Royal, VA on Route 55 today.

Tues 7:35pm - Not a Monster but a yellow cruiser with a yellow Scorpion helmet pulling into Hunters Woods Village Center at Glade and Colts Neck.  Gene?

Saw a red s4 today in Kensington making a left on Plyers Mill.  Rider was wearing a chrome brain bucket, tank top, shorts and docksiders.  Bike sounded Nice! [thumbsup]

< 2pm - Red S2R* with stock pipes and a red-white-blue Arai Corsair on Reston Pkwy approaching the toll road.

Sat 7:30pm - Black on red 1098S on U St near 18th.

1530 going east on 7900 and turning south on Beulah in the Kingstowne area of Alexandria, we spotted a very nicely loaded red on gold 750 (or 620 with an oil cooler) with CF DP exhaust.  The rider wore a red pilot lid and black jacket.  The bike had red saddlebags and a large duffel bungeed onto the tail.  For some reason, I don't think he was a local.  If you saw some chick staring at you out of a black Ram 1500, I wasn't just gawking at the bike.  I was trying to figure out who you were!

Yesterday around 4pm: Yellow S4R in the parking garage for the new Target in Columbia Heights

Today around 6:15pm: Awesome sounding 749 Dark blasting through Thomas Circle. Male rider wearing khakis and a dress shirt.

10 July, @ 0940 - Yellow 620 - sitting in a Church parking lot on the east side of West Ox. Rd facing south.  Just south of 66 and Post Forest, north of Piney Branch.

9:20 AM this morning - Black/Red 695 parked on Mt. Vernon in Delray (Alexandria, VA), in front of the UPS Store.

I saw Drew leaving Coleman's this afternoon.  Yeah, you blew off my wave, but I was going incognito in the STi.  You went right across my bow making that shady left/u-turn (right behind a cop, btw, who had already pulled someone over, but did turn his head at the sound of the whackety-whack).

Thurs 8:58 AM - Not a Ducati, but some other brand of fully dressed silver sport tourer, whose rider wore a Ducati Daytona Tex jacket.  He turned from Sunset Hills onto Reston Pkwy toward the toll road.

9:12 PM - Ducati 80s jacket on a Monster heading westbound on Whitehurst Fwy.  The sun was gone and I couldn't see over the divider.

Mon 7/14 at 5:20 PM ( that'd be 17:20 for some of yalls ) a Monster Dark with stock cans and rider wearing no jacket and a flat black helmet with tinted visor pulling out of a parking spot from the side of the CVS on Bradley Blvd going westbound just a few yards from Wisconsin Ave....I was in my Subaru Baja and nodded at you even though it looked like you were looking at what you were supposed to be looking at to roll out.

Not me. My brain bucket is black and I prefer sandals.

Yesterday, Tuesday, just after 0700 a red/white stripe S2R 1000 crossed our bow heading north on Beulah as we were pulling out from Steinway in Alexandria.  You turned left onto 7900 west/north and we turned off towards the Metro. 

Yesterday a Black with red framed 695 was weaving with ease through traffic on Connecticut right around Florida Ave.  Rider wearing 1/2 helmet with shield and a multi colored textile jacket.

My employee riding in the truck with me was amazed that I knew there was a Duck coming at least 15 seconds before we saw it...nice pipes!

9:12 AM - Yellow with front fairing turning from Connecticut onto Rhode Island.  Rider was female with red/black Joe Rocket textile jacket.  CrabbyJay?

10:15 PM - After dropping off Empress Duc and Ducati Culture, I was followed by a black and white S2R* for a few blocks down 16th St.  I took Scott Circle, but you and your passenger in the white helmet went through the tunnel.

Thurs 5:15pm - Red on red with red helmet splitting lanes westward on K St just before the rain pelted down.

Fri 6:11pm - Red SBK with black helmet crossing Key Bridge into Georgetown from the middle lane.

This afternoon we saw a yellow 996 and a red Multistroodle heading north on Frontier next to Springfield Mall.

Today - North on Clifton Rd., turned left on Lee Hwy. @ 0835ish.  Red 695 (I think), Male rider, red and black jacket, white helmet...

Tues 9:35am - Red turning from Canal Rd onto Whitehurst Fwy.  Female rider wearing a black helmet, tan bag, and some black, femmy, flowy top.

Tues 9:36am - Black SBK crossing Key Bridge into Georgetown in the left lane.  White button-up shirt.

Tues 9:42am - Black or Dark entering 66E rather quickly from Glebe on-ramp.  White or silver helmet with black gear.

Thurs. 1:55 pm.  SB on Georgia ave, just north of East-West a Red 620 w/ little or no mods and a Rider in black helmet and jacket.

Saturday afternoon: Red Hypermotard in Georgetown going West on M street, I was on a bicycle riding East through traffic.

Saturday evening: Yellow Monster on Cordell Street in Bethesda

Today around 1900 or so, we saw a red 998 on 395 north going by the Pentagon, going on the HOV lanes, and coming out the other side continuing up 395 north on the SE/SW Freeway.  We were on our way to pick up the most sturdily installed microwave I've ever seen.  As Stillie so eloquently said, "It may give you cancer, but at least it won't fall on your baby."

On Rt. 85 South at Buckeystown, a red (what I believe) 999 with the Xerox replica decals on it.  I was on the 04 S4r headed south, you north. 

The first Duc i've seen out riding in about a month.  There's not many where I live.  :)

So yesterday I'm walking the dog, and I see a red framed Monster with a (Ducati Performance?) tank cover and what looked to be stock pipes sitting in a driveway on Potomac Ave in Silver Spring. Anyone here?

5:15pmish pretty sure I saw Zooom on his Cagiva heading away from DC on Connecticut Ave...I was in my bosses car comming back from a meeting going the other direction....and he (my boss who frowns upon motorcycles) pointed and said something about another person using poor judgment by riding a motorcycle...i thought that was kind of funny

6:30 Red Hypermotard heading towards Bethesda on Wisconsin Ave (355) I think the rider had a silver modular helmet

Tuesday...8/12...around 1800.  Possible 620/695 (Dark) parked in front of a house on Knightsbridge, in the Westridge neighborhood...believe the rider was in the garage with someone.

the Hypermotard due I bet is the European guy who was at Rhodeside early last night with his weird 3/4 helmet that looks like from a distance it might be modular!

I think I saw European guy on Dolley Madison southbound one evening while I was heading home from work in the opposite direction.  Or at least the guy I saw wore a 3/4.

Wed, 8/13.  430ish pm red air-cooled monster heading North on Calvert St. in Baltimore.    I was walking towards Mercy Hospital and almost caught up to say hello at the redlight at Pleasant st.

Tuesday, August 19th at 10:30am, in the square in Hagerstown, MD.  Blue S4R, Arrow pipes, integrated signals, wearing black/gray duc jacket and helmet.   You might have had a backpack on.

I heard you coming from a distance, I knew the sound!!  I was standing inbetween two cars trying to get your attention as you drove by.  I ran to the stop light, but you had pulled away by the time I got there.  OMG, the open clutch in between the tall buildings was amazing.  I just could not get your attention -CRAP!

I've got a blue S4R too, and you are the first one i've seen in two years on the road.  [moto]

Ninjas can kill anyone they want!  Ninjas cut off heads ALL the time and don't even think twice about it.  These guys are so crazy and awesome that they flip out ALL the time.  I heard that there was this ninja who was eating at a diner.  And when some dude dropped a spoon the ninja killed the whole town.  My friend Mark said that he saw a ninja totally uppercut some kid just because the kid opened a window.

Red Monster with a gold frame going on Telegraph towards Rt. 1.  Stillie and I were in the parking lot of Crossfit Lorton and we just happened to hear it approaching our area and looked in time to catch a glimpse.  It was today at around 1800.

Around 1900 today: Yellow 748 east bound Ashburn Farm Pkwy crossing Clairborne Pkwy.

An air cooled monster with dual headlights and a white tank on 4-mile run at Walter Reed this evening around 7pm

Ider in black helmet and blue t-shirt.

Tues 8/19 9:28AM - Male on white 848 on 66E passing Key Bridge exit.

Tues 8/19 6:00PM - Red on silver with red front fairing, black leather Joe Rocket jacket, black helmet, blue jeans, and a white shirt going south on Reston Pkwy.

Mon 8/25 4:00PM - Orange cafe racer style with old Ducati lettering, heading northwest on Massachusetts approaching Scott Circle.  Rider wore a blue/white Hawaiian print helmet with matching shorts and a white t-shirt.

Red 620 (maybe) west on Old Bridge Rd, passing Westridge...Didn't get much else, I fronted you heading east...

Saturday night, Old Town Alexandria, Red/white S2R with carbon cans and vented clutch cover. Not sure about the rider, I was looking at the bike as it passed by.

Sunday night in Shirlington about 9:30.  A Silver n Black S2R1K w/ open clutch and chain fairing type belly pan being ridden 2-up down the resturant row.  Seemed to have a stock exhaust since I picked up on the jingle-jingle-jingle before I heard anything else.

Monday (Sept 1), red 695 on Little River Turnpike turning left on Guinea rd.

Red helmet and backpack.  Bike looked stock.

Today: Red/white S2r 1000 with carbon cans, black/white helmet in Woodbridge.

9:47am Thurs 9/4 - Dark on blue crossing Key Bridge into DC.

That was me!  I live just down the street from old town, and I cruise through there a lot to check out the bikes.  I've only had my bike for a couple weeks, and really haven't gotten up the courage to park there and chat it up with the Harley guys. Was going to check it out again this weekend, but I think we're gonna get hammered with rain all weekend.

Cool! I too live just down the street from Old Town. I'll be down there this morning for a little bit. Nah, I never park next to Harleys. I park by my self (or with other sport bikes) usually since the Duc is in a class by itself!

6:34pm - Red Hyper heading north through Dupont Circle on what I believe was New Hampshire Ave.  Rider wore a black helmet, red/black striped t-shirt, khaki shorts, and red Chucks.

~8:45am a black Multistrada 1100 S w/panniers and Termi exhaust on the inner loop between Tysons and the GW Parkway where he exited. Black jacketed male rider.

I have to say, that was the first time I though I might want to ride a Multistrada. I'm not sure if it was the color, the additional panniers, or what.

Thurs 9/18 lunchtime - Red xx8 with no number stickers parked at a corner in Reston Town Center, not in the designated moto parking.

Thurs 9/18 at 7:30pm-ish - Black 'Tard passing all the cars on eastbound K St NW.  Rider wore a black dual sport helmet, no gloves, no other gear, and seemed to be dancing to music at a red light.

Fri 9/19 at 4:08pm - Dark parked at a bank in Sterling, and then later heading up Atlantic and down Nokes.  Had a leather binder strapped to the seat.  Rider wore black gear and a silver/black/white helmet.

695 Dark on 66west on Sat afternoon.. Rider was wearing a nice Hopper replica Arai and got off in Gainsville area.  I was the idiot who kept looking over at the bike in the red Dodge pickup with a DucPond sticker in the window.

Tues 9/23 at 6pm - I got excited when an unstriped Red Monster rolled up to the left-turn light leading to the front door of my office.  I joked to coworkers that Hy was coming to pick me up.  Actually, it was a male rider with a black helmet, black leather jacket, blue jeans, seat cowl, and front fairing making a u-turn on Sunset Hills.

White 848s a plenty.

Over the weekend one with Termis parked out front of Johnny Rockets in Shirlington.

Yesterday evening ~ 7:15 pm one with Akrapovic slip ons going past that same spot.

Saturday @ 1530 on 50 W in Fairfax @ Stringfellow, we heard the whackety-whack of a silver/black stripe S2R1k. Rider wore a solid black lid, black FS tex jacket, jeans, and black boots. We were in the black Ram towing the empty tetnus trailer.

10/5 - 3:00pm headed eastbound on 66 near 123 Vienna exit. Black monster, stock low pipes, rider wearing jeans, Ducati black/red summer tech jacket, black/red boots, and a black helmet.

Saw the same rider, 9:15 am, heading eastbound on 66.  Looked completely stock, mirrors, signals, reflectors, etc.

10/4 Sat 7:47pm - Heard a Monster entering the southbound 16th St tunnel.  Stock red 696 with shiny black helmet, black jacket, blue jeans, some dark tennis shoes, and a black backpack.

Red S2R1K at Walter Reed this morning about 10'ish.  It was gone when I got back to my bike.  Had to take a pic of the horses in the stable.

10/7 10:54am - Black 696 westbound on Rt.7 headed towards the Toll Road. Rider had a grey jacket and a backpack.

5:10-ish PM heading west on Bradley BLVD off of Wisconsin ave in Bethesda....black with red frame 695? with rider wearing a black Arai and the bike had a Corbin or Sargent seat with red piping on it

Red on Red (S4R???) ~8:15pm today, 10/8/08 in Columbia Md. At stop light on Snowden River waiting to turn left onto McGaw. Rider wore a black helmet with white/silver graphics and a black and white jacket.

Friday, between 3 and 4 PM, red monster two up on 83 heading toward baltimore, just past the 28th street exit. About 4 minutes behind, a white S4RS (I assume) around cold spring lane. I was outbound on my 620 Dark.

Group of sportbikes heading east on 263. 1098 in the lead (paint scheme looked like a 1098R, but won't swear to it being a 1098R, maybe custom paint job?) white 848 back further in the pack and an orange sport classic bringing up the rear. Some jap bikes in the mix as well.

Another Monster in Columbia?  Damn... thought I might be th only one.  Seems like it sometimes.  I work on Snowden and McGaw.  If you see a yellow one... that's me!

October 15th around 4pm - yellow monster going westbound on Route 7 in VA between Winchester and Leesburg.

8:12pm Thurs 10/16 - Red on silver with high-pitched high mounts heading east on the Dulles Connector Road.  I didn't see brake/running lights except for barely visible teeny LEDs across the bottom of the license plate (#5454____).  Rider wore a black/white helmet and a jacket without reflectors.  He turned his upper body around to the left before taking the bus lane.

10/19 around 3pm in Clifton. Black 1098s with Termis

2:10pm Fri 10/17 - Red sans stripe leaning into Sunset Hills westbound towards Reston Pkwy.  All black gear.

Red S2R (maybe...a bus pulled up right as I passed it...); parked on the north side of King St. just east of Washington in Old Town.  Rider had black jacket and longer dark hair...

This past Saturday at the Front Royal Entrance to Skyline Drive.. Red ST, rider wearing a sliver Nolan, and a Silver and Black monster with rider in a Simpson Bandit style helmet..

Sunday around 4:30, two monsters following a couch with wheels around Great Falls Md.  I was putting my (helmet) strap-on on and +1 on the side of the road when you guys went by.

Earlier zipped by a 1098/848 on a trailer on 495S, gave a big thumbs up but driver on a cel.

that was me on my s2r1k,  having lunch at BumbleFish, right on the corner of king & washington.  it's a great lunch place for sushi and a bubble tea.

Today at about 12:20 PM, dark tank, blue frame heading into Alexandria at the South Glebe/West Glebe split.

2 up on GW Parkway heading towards DC from the 495 exit.  Black Monster with rider and passenger wearing black.

9:39am Wed 12/3 - Dark turning right from Key Bridge into Georgetown.  Rider wore a black jacket and black helmet full of long dirty blond hair.

Paul Smart riding on Layhill Road.  All I caught was the rumble, and a yellow helmet.  About 3:30 yesterday.

9:41am Thurs 12/4 - Red and white S*R parked head first to the curb in front of Kaplan on the 2000 block of K St NW.

5:25pm - Dark with stock pipes and tailchop heading north on 22nd from Washington Circle.  Rider wore a silver helmet and black jacket.

I was in Manassas today on Grant St. at 3:45 when I passed a real nice black monster with high mount pipes.  I think the rider was wearing some sort of green jacket.   Nice ride   :o

Friday 2 January at 1112 on westbound 50 right around the Queen St exit in Arlington, I saw what I think was a Dark.  I was going in the opposite direction, so a relative speed of 90+ mph made it kind of hard to distinguish. 

Multiple Ducs out today:
Red Monster with bikini fairing, sometime around 1 PM on River Road just west of the beltway, with two other bikes one of which may have been a Monster, but there were cars blocking my view.

Red Monster with low-mount exhaust in the left lane on E. Main Uptown Richmond around 6:15 PM, 8 Feb.  Nice looking bike.  I was in the right lane (lost) coming back from a ride to Appomattox. 

9:20am Tues 2/24 - Dark heading south on 17th St NW past M St.

8:39am sometime in the past week - Dark in left lane of inbound Key Bridge.  Rider wore puffy black gear with light brown hair/fur under the helmet.  Possible repeat of my 12/3 sighting.

Prolly me. I commute from Arl to G'town/Foggy Bottom via Key bridge. But 12/3 was def not me.

I dropped off the yellow duc  at DucPond yesterday to get the 18K service done and as I pulled up a grey monster with the plate ROSSO was leaving, anybody know???

Saw a red Monstah in Georgetown around 4:30ish last Friday. Rider had a Dainese jacket of some sort on. Unfortunately, said rider was having to deal with Georgetown traffic.
I also heard a Ducati of some kind start up somewhere behind Dean and Deluca's a little before that (maybe the same bike?). It def. had an open clutch.

11:09pm Sun 3/8 - Black Hyper heading west on P St past Whole Foods.  Rider wore a red/black/white helmet, jeans, and long sleeve shirt.

yesterday at around 1:30, I spotted a new, red monster headed west on old ox near the dulles airport.  Rider was wearing a red helmet. 

today, 3/21 at the dulles towncenter mall I was on my bike and stopped to check out two very nice 1098's looking very lonely parked way out and away from any cars or perhaps just strategically placed to draw attention from all passers by.  ;)  I stopped to get a good look myself.  One was red and one had a license plate that said bumblebee so you can guess the color.

I was riding ahead of you and only caught a glimpse in the mirror, turned around and you gave a nod.  I was on my S4R. 

Red 696 Eastbound on Rt. 50 between Fairfax circle and Merrifield (somewhere around Nutley before Prosperity) - rider was in a black jacket.

31 March Morning - Black Monster with red frame on Jones Bridge Road going west into Bethesda; Red 748 going south on Georgia Avenue below Silver Spring.

i saw the front 1/3 of the bike as I was approaching and when I passed I only got a glance at the rest of it.  I thought I saw it on the gas tank somewhere.  But who knows...  Memory can play too many tricks for me to say for sure.

I've had a parking ticket stuck under the gas keyhole flap when the credit card meter wouldn't accept my two credit cards >:(.

April 18 and 19 - spotted the same white/red S4R w Arrows and the tank decal read something like 'Ducinfokati' (or something like that).  18th was ~4pm in Shirlington, the 19th was ~4pm on rt 50 turning towards the Home Depot.  No jacket or boots for the rider either time -tut tut

Going around 495 Saturday 4/18, noonish, where it comes up to Rt66, I was on a 620 Dark and someone on a white-tank/Red-frame Monster rolled up behind me and we both gunned it for a while in traffic. Was dangerous fun  ;D [beer]

Clearly the owner has very good taste and must be a very nice guy  [bow_down]. His bike was parked in my parking spot though, and for some reason, I found the keys for it in my own pocket.. ;)

April 27, Monday, at about 8:30 AM, at the corner of N st and 22nd st NW.  Saw a red 848 or 1098, guy was wearing a red helmet and a light blue dress shirt.

That was me - I gotta check this post more often.  Hella loud - but I love the look.  Ear plugs only, unless you are just going around the block.  I live about a mile from there if you ever want to hear it in person.....

Sunday morning in the rain, when I was making my way from one cheering station to another for the Avon Breast Cancer walk, when I spied a Monster Dark ( I think a 620 ) parked sitting out in the rain at 36th st NW right off of Calvert St/ Observatory Circle....

Saw a red and white Monster going East on King St. from Old Town Alexandria yesterday. Not sure if it was an S2 or S4. I was on my S4r and we waved. Also, talked to a guy on a HD cruiser he was borrowing who has an '07 S4RS in Old Town.

Saw a nice sounding M900? yesterday riding North on Connecticut Ave making a rt on Florida I think.....  Chrome helmet, blk leather jacket.  Nice bike!

I saw "Genuine" riding up Washington Street in Olde Towne weaving through traffic.  I was parked on the sidewalk with my scooter.

Today (6/1) @ 4:20 - A gorgeous red monstah' heading west on Teddy Roosevelt bridge, then turned north onto GW Parkway. I tried to catch up but was boxed in by traffic all the way to the split with Rt. 50. Argh!

Last night (06/09) onmy way home from work around 7 PM, headed west out of Old Town on Duke Street, black (I believe glossy, not Dark) with stock cans.  I didn't get a great look, but it had the newer (FI era) lunch tray and dual front discs.  Rider had a black/gray helemt and a black/gray backpack.

Yeah, it's a 696.  The speed is about right.  I looked down and saw 67 when you went by.  You took off on 66, though.  It was too windy for my liking so I was taking it easier on the highway that I usually would.

Yea, I know.  Bolling is a bit out there.  As I said, depends on what happens tomorrow.  I was talking to another tenant in the condo building today, and he is paying significantly less per month than what my L/L is asking.  Couple that with the fact that the place is smaller than advertised, neither the AC nor the laundry dryer are operable (supposed to have been fixed before I got here) and the fact that I was told the place had gas heat when it in fact has electric...  Not really feeling the love for that condo anymore.  Know anything about the Millbrook complex?

There's an older red monster that I see at my office bldg from time to time.  Haven't gotten a good look at it, as I only see it from afar or when I am in a rush to get inside.  Caught a glimpse of it today as it was leaving.  Guy had saddle bags, as well as a top bag on it.

9:15 a.m. I spotted Gene, on 50 west.

Saw a couple Monsters yesterday.  First was on 17/55, red Monster riding 2 up.  Turned right onto 688(?).  Second was in Middleburg.  Lots of bikes in town and lots of traffic.  Saw a new Monster, not sure which size (I was keeping my eyes on the road), parked on the curb.  White with red frame and the ring and piece that goes across the headlight were also red.  Looked good from the quick glimpse I got. 

The white with red frame was me.  I think I noticed the red two up monster too.  I was at the Red Horse Tavern taking a break.  There are some great roads back there.  I had a blast riding.  I was with two other Monsters (1100's), two Multi's, and a cbr 1000rr.  Good times.

Yesterday about 4 in the afternoon.  Baltimore.  Falls road heading south.  695 black w/red frame.  Making a left on Seminary Ave.

Saw a red 848/1098 going west towards West Va near Skyline Drive yesterday afternoon on 211.  Looks like low sided it on the left side...around 3pm.  We were coming back from monkeyville Va....over 500 miles in one day.

I'd like to get my hands on the graphics.  My office is doing a run of laminated plastic business cards; maybe I'll make some CAM ones while we are at it.

I think B would redefine what a mod could and should be.

5:15-ish PM last night...Foggy S4 Monster/Rider in black helmet and no jacket in the turning left lane for Seven Locks Rd off of River Rd South/East bound...I was on my Gran Canyon and waved at ya.

Some flavor of black monster with high-mount Termis headed southwest on Mass Ave at 4th NW around 6pm. Rider was sportin' some of that fancy invisi-gear.

An 09/10 white with red trellis Monster 696 hangin out in the shade under the walkway at Rosslyn Metro with a bunch of Japanese bikes.

They've already started, lol.  It used to be me and only one other guy that parked there.  In the past month or so though, a bunch of people all of a sudden are trying to ruin my little area.  Pretty soon they're going to end up ticketing everyone.  Way too many bikes there now.

I was honestly amazed that the Commonwealth hadn't already ticketed everyone.  I just figured it was a sanctioned parking area for bikes and bicycles.  Hopefully things will not change, parking in that area is hard sometimes.  Not sure where you are located in Va but the next Meetup in next week Thursday in DC.  You should come through think Adam's Morgan will be the local.

I currently live in the District, so that will be close to  me.  I've only made it out to one of the weekly meetups in Shirlington.  Just so happened that I got rained on and the power went out there, lol.  I haven't had a chance to make it out since then, but I'm hoping to come to next week's meet.

8:10pm Tues 10/19 - I was the driver who cut off the car in front of a loud red S4* on 66E to take the Glebe exit.  We turned onto Glebe, you stayed on it, but I turned right onto Wilson.  You came from 267, wore a big black jacket with barely noticeable reflective stripe, and I believe your plate might be crooked.

10/24 yellow SS on River Road inside the Beltway going east in the morning and red 848 on Old Georgetown Road heading into Bethesda in the late afternoon.  Where are the Monsters?

9:35am Sat 10/30 - Yellow Sport 1000 with white helmet, tan leather seat, and lots of bags parked on Constitution and 7th NW, near the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear.

Twice in the same day, the same 1200 Multi. 1st time on the beltway getting off at Clara Barton and then on the ferry at Whites Ferry. It was part of a mixed group of 4 bikes lead by a couple on a cruiser.

Saw some flavor of monster on going north on the GWP. Dark or black with a fairing, but that's all I got.

12:00-12:30pm on Rt. 77 Thurmont headed downhill toward thurmont. Looked like
To me a 1100 monster, ohlins forks, aftermarket turn signals. All white arai helmet full spidi suit. I was in the Mercedes SLK350 in front of you. We had a hell of a spirited ride until we hit traffic.  Gave you a thumbs up out the window as you rode into thurmont and I went on 15 north. You gave me a thumbs up back. :-).

My normal two wheel ride is a ducati S4R. It was a total hoot to ride down the hill with you. Hope I didn't hold you up any! :-) I don't think I did!

Saw a yellow 748 on Harwood while we were waiting on the tow truck.  Then went past a red ST2/3 going west bound on the 50 while heading home...

Monster sighting on key bridge.  Rider was a female headed towards M Street wearing a white helmet.  Bike was black and I believe had an orange trellis (could be wrong).  Was around 8:00 a.m. 

That's an orange framed S2R800.  I think her name is Susan, and works at the Georgetown Uni.  I've talked to her a couple of times while riding through that area.

Thought I had seen a chick on a Duc a few days ago, but I attributed it to mental delusions. ???

Spotted what I think was an 08 Monster on Constitution Ave. around 7:00 p.m. Rider was in jeans headed in the direction of RFK Stadium.  I was on the 8th street headed towards Eastern Market in the Red 695.

Today, late this afternoon, I was outside my apartment building with my dog, and I saw a 1st gen Monster pulling out of my garage.  Never seen it before, but it appeared to have a flat camouflage painted tank (could be way wrong, I didn't have my glasses on) and stocker pipes.  Any idea who this is?  Must've just moved in or something.

Yellow Monster S2R 800/1000 (?) at the intersection of Wilson and Clarendon Blvd.  Had a yellow belly pan and CRG lane splitter mirrors.

Brave dude riding in this weather.  My bike is staying inside until the sun returns. :D

the silver/black s2r is just hawt.  i would trade my acid yellow/black for that even though i love the yellow/black.

thats the only angle the leovince 2:1 for the s2r looks good imho.  the spaghetti collector looks weird from the side IMHO.

plus the leovince can is too long, should be chopped at least 2-4".

Pretty red hyper headed east on 370 this morning around 7:30

It's a matter of taste.  I also had mine coated in a VERY bright finish to match the Sparks header and it made the spaghetti collector stand out.  Maybe if it was all black coated it wouldn't bother me.  I think it was the fact that it stuck out from the bike so far compared to the Sparks system (i have the SxS under seat setup)


I have a bandsaw.  Pick up some stainless repack material and go for it.

When I chopped my Sparks cans, I got the metal parts ceramic coated which includes the internal baffles.  That along with the stainless repack should make them last much longer.

Don't leave that Duc around me or you're like to come back and find that 'spaghetti exhaust' missing on a very nice looking yellow/black S2R800  [moto]

Spotted a Monster 695 Dark (I think - wet clutch, no wire ties on the frame to secure the wiring) at Connecticut and M the past couple of days.  A 1098 was parked next to it this morning. 

Rode for a while alongside an SS 800 (?) on my way out to Winchester today.  Nice bike! [thumbsup]

Saw more than a few Ducs out today.  First off, a yellow Sport1000 Mono (with 2-into-2 Termis) west-bound on 395 when I was heading out to meet Lars.  Then saw a new-gen monster going west on 50, right when I was about to turn off on 50.  Finally, Lars and I had an 1198S Corse go past us while we were chatting at the end of the ride.

 [thumbsup]  Yeah, I finally got my powdercoated parts back on after many setbacks.  It's been a minute since I actually rode the damn thing.  I tried to start wrapping my forks yesterday and screwed it up horribly.

Some find it pleasing to the eye.

I wanted to get them anodized but I don't have the tools or skills to pull the forks and disassemble.  I saw there a lot of people that have wrapped their forks and I thought it looks cool.  It's reversible, which is nice, and whenever I have to have my forks actually serviced I could get them anodized.

Ah, I've never actually seen that before, but probably have & thought they were painted/anodized.  I suck at covering things with wrap - made a huge mess of my Tankslapper kit a few years ago.

today i went for a run down the mt vernin trail though old town alexandria and in slow motion i watched a girl back ger VW beetle into what i think was a s2r ( single swing arm)... hope it wasnt any of yall

Red S2r this morning heading up Dalecarlia Pkwy.

Saw a yellow Monster (passed me too quick to see what kind) on my way home from work today.  Rider was wearing a bright yellow jacket and, at one point, was gesticulating angrily to a driver in the HOV lane.  I didn't see what caused that, though.

Lots of Monster spottings today.

Around 11:30 a.m. - Saw a M900 2up in Georgetown on M Street headed towards Key Bridge.

Around 8:00 p.m. - Chatted with a feller on and 07 S2R1000 gloss black with a white stripe.  Nice guy - most interesting modd was the a new style Monster headlight mounted and carbon fiber belt cover.  Bike was very clean. 

Finally on 20th and P - Spotted this:

Looks like an S2R800 with dual stacked headlights, aftermarker rearset, QD Exbox, clip ons below his top triple and some interesting rims.....

That's a mix-match bike.  Cycle cat rear sets mounted to an older/DSS frame, with an S?R swingarm.  Looks like a GSXR fork swap, and wheels from a Speed Triple.

I was very curious about those rims......Talk about a FrankenMonster

Saw Gene and Massimo (and met his better half) at the Classic Mcy Day. Lots of Ducatis of all stripes there. Strangely mine was the only 900SS of it's era that I saw. Gene's Paso looks like it was built only last week, as you'd expect! Lot's of 70's air-cooled Ducatis in the show. Also saw one of these:

i am working out at joint base andrews for the airshow this weekend and on the way out i passes three bikes, the one in the middle was a monster, didnt get a good look but it had a red frame and i thinkl a gray tank

It was a gray and red S4R and a Red Multi at the airshow today in DoD parking.

I've seen both of those bikes riding around my neighborhood here in Alexandria.  To bad I was in the cage each time I saw them...

7-ish pm on Saturday...was on the way home with Dolci from the Power Ranger film project with Artful when on Hall Shop RD waiting at the light to cross 216, a Monster dark with a left side tank dent went in a southeaster-ly direction humming by whilst I was mounted on my Cagiva steed.

Thats my bike. I think I was maybe at Pizzeria Paradiso when you saw the bike. Its a 695 that had been modifed to fit a SSS when I got it. Those are cyclecat rearsets and a QD exbox. Carrozzeria V Track rims, GSXR forks, forget the clip ons that i put on it. Still have some parts that I had been meaning to put on the bike at the end of last season, but graduate school and other things took front seat.
Just moved up to DC in January and shipped the bike up here out of storage recently and hence why it is about the dirtiest its ever been.
Would love to meet you guys at some point. Although I recently ruptured my achilles and you prob wont be seeing the bike around for the next 8 weeks or so.
