Post by: He Man on September 23, 2009, 10:46:20 AM
Does anyone know of someone in the city that can stitch leather? I called a few places and none of them will do it.

I have found that most shoe makers are really good w/ repairing leather. Give one of them a try.

rang a few people up. They arent so sure about race leathers... so if they are not sure...then im probably not sure. So i picked p some Vectran thread and will stitch it up myself. Its only about 3 inches wide or so. The thread snapped, but the leather didn't rip. So ill just follow the pattern, close out the stitching that ripped and continue it. Should be goood.

im going to find a needle to hook up to my sewing machine. the one i have right now looks like itll snap like a twig.

there is no one in New York who can repair or alter motorcycle race leathers? that is insane. he-man, do you remember if you tried that superior leather repairs place?

i need about 2 or 3 or 4 inches added to the sleeves of a jacket i just got. no one makes good moto gear for tall skinny guys :( wanted to go to lizzie's leathers as i saw an NYC phone number for her, but she's way down in virginia... probably will mail it.

anyone know of a good leather man/woman in the NYC area?
