Title: It's a Ford
Post by: Razzo Bolognese on September 26, 2009, 09:55:59 AM
So I ride over to visit my friend Ken in Brooklyn.  He has his friend Astrid, a German girl living in Rome, visiting with him.  Ken's all "Yo Astrid!  He's got a DUCATI!!!"  She has no response.  As soon as Ken leaves the room I turn to Astrid and tell her I realize that she's in Rome and sees Ducatis every day.  It's like if Ken came out and was all
"DUDE!  HE'S GOT A FORD!!!"  [roll]

In Rome, Ducatis are not as common as you might think.

Astrid was quite unimpressed and assures me she sees Ducatis every day in Rome.  Ken was DAZZLED by my baby and rides the subway.

+1

Last June I spent a week in Rome and I think I only saw two Ducatis.

Mostly just millions of scooters, and handful of Sportsters, a couple of Aprilias and a Monster or two.

Millions of scooters.

Tangent: I have cousins in the midst of spending a month in Bologna (retired teachers, non-riders). In their postcard they said that "Ducati's are everywhere".

I guess being the home team counts for something.
