Title: 916 swingarm on S4
Post by: mrpackrat on September 26, 2009, 09:11:50 PM
Anybody know if the single sided swingarm from the 916 will fit on the s4 monster? I am sure it will bolt to the cases(same engine-huh?), but what I am wondering about is the length, the chain spacing, and the shock linkage...anybody know for sure? I really have not seen any single sided swingarms on monsters other than the specific monster single sided's   Thanks for any advice as I am thinking of doing this for the looks of it..

SBK swingarm won't bolt up to the S4 cases, they're different from SBK.

SBK swingarm is shorter than S4 swingarm.

Chainline is the same as the same front sprocket is used on both motors.

Shock linkage is different, attachment point on SBK swingarm is a good bit higher.
Left-right position may be different as well.

It's been done, but it's not a bolt-on.
