I got a Pit Bull rear stand with the forward handle a few weeks ago.  It's GREAT - quality construction and the forward handle makes it take up less room in the garage.  Ordered it from Sport Bike Track Gear.

Bought a Bike-Lift Italian rear (SSS) and a T-Rex front.  The T-Rex is less than half the price and the quality/strength/finish is about the same.

I will.

What else do you have to say about them?  I have no first hand knowledge.

The pin fit perfectly in my rear axle.  I've had it outside for entire summers no rust, the paint has hardly scuffed even though I used it on rough concrete.   I wanted a pit bull but never regret ed buying a T-rex.  I have their sliders as well and have been impressed with the quality of both products.  I'm going to order a front stand as soon as they are in stock again.

I'm assuming this is a DSS bike....

I inherited the rear stand when I got my 620 and have kept it.  It's from 'Handy' (insert joke here..)  They go for $87 and it's a great value.  Aside for some fading on the paint from sitting outside a bunch, it's held up to a couple years of abuse.

On a sort of related note.  Oncycles has the cyclecat front stands for $99...

Don't cheap out on a rear stand.  The cheaper ones are cheap for a reason.  They don't have a lot of stiffness and can be difficult to work with because they twist too much.  It won't do much good if you saved $50 on your rear stand that dropped your bike and did $300 in damage.   [bang]

I scored a pair of Handy stands for $99 on Feb. 13 2002 and they have served me well for over 6 years. I've used them for maintenance, repairs and track days and haven't had a problem. FWIW

I just picked up a Pit Bull "Supersport" stand. I've never used a stand before, but it's quite heavy-duty and extremely simple.

My front T-Rex stand (custom pin for the triple clamp model) shipped without a set of bolts for the bottom section....  Called their service line and they sent out a new set of bolts that day.  The thing went together well and has been 100% good for the Monster in terms of fit, safety and durability.  Price was right.  No regrets.

About a year ago I went in looking for a rear stand, any old cheapy just so I can replace my chain. Well, guess what...I totally got up sold to a $200 Cycle Cat. But man do I like it. I can move the bike around with it and I'm totally confident keeping the bike on it. It's super easy and stable to lift and lower. And it's pretty.  [thumbsup]

Gents,
So I went with a pitbull - quick question; what does the axle holder do ?

another vote for cyclecat
it's rock solid, no effort to lift or lower - can evenl be done 1 handed and never feels like it's going to tip
sure hope they keep making them

SteveH - as for axle holder I'm guessing its a spool adapter
