I made a small tear on the right side of the seat, and it kept on bugging me ...
So, I got the seat recovered ...

sitting area is alcantara, red part is vinyl. (It's hard to see in those pics, but there are red stitching running both sides of white stripe. The idea came from bagster tank cover, black alcantara with red stitching idea came from Nardi steering wheel).
I noticed in the rearsets thread....
Nice work - a lot of visual effect [thumbsup]
Looks good..
Almost like the red is painted/bodywork....
This looks great!
Any chance you could post a side view of the entire bike?
Very nice work! Mine came matched like that stock, 800 Dark ;)
Scott
Very nice. [thumbsup]

And, yes, it's done by local guy who does car's upholstery.

Thanks for the extra pic. I really like how the red is carried forward, nice job!!! [thumbsup]
How does it look with the seat cowl attached? ;D
(just keep takin' pics, I'll tell you when to stop!)
great bike!!
Ditch the carbon sidecovers (or paint them same red as the tank) ?
Just an idea..
looks good man , love the side view [thumbsup]
that is super hot dose the alcantara give you better grip on the seat (I think the stocker is kinda slick)

I agree....
Excellent! Well done! [clap]
This is exactly the look I am going for with mine, but I want to keep the stock seating area material. By using a heavy stitch along the inside edge of the white stripe, you can come close to matching the thin-wide-thin pattern of the factory stripe.
