Hey everyone. Thought I summons all the experts here. I'm looking to pick up a pair of spare used rims for my 07 S4Rt for the track or an extra pair for the street. NYC potholes have already put some 2 small bends in my stock front. Are the only rims that will fit my bike the stock ones? Will any other rims from other models fit? I know that rear axle is bigger than the S2R 800 and 695 but it is bigger that the S2R1000's?
All help sincerely appreciated.
Also anyone ever put a 190 on an S4Rt/s? Thinking about it for the track.
Pretty much anything S*R will fit. Need to match up the rotor bolt pattern for the front. I am running a 190 rear on a 6.0in BST on my RS. [thumbsup] [thumbsup] Had to get creative on the sprocket sizing to gain clearance for chain adjustment a little ways down the road as the fitment was close cuz of the 6.0 in wheel. If you are just gonna cram a 190 on a 5.5 you should have no problem...
I'm gonna have to step in here and say not really Hypurone. Pretty sure the S2r 1k/800 bikes have a 6 bolt rotor hub in the front, where as the s4r models have a 5 bolt rotor hub.
848 wheels will bolt up
hyper "S" wheels are the forged version - will bolt up
1098 front wheel will work, but the rear won't because the rear axle is the large corsa style
And if I'm not mistaken, the offset is different between the 2 as well by 5mm. It's been awhile since I researched it, but there isn't a readily made rotor that will work with the offset of the s4rt's forks with a 6 bolt pattern. You can, of course, have something machined to work.
The OEM "upgrade" wheels are those from a Hyper "S". I spend MONTHS trying to find a set, ended up finding a front one from Australia (thanks to a member here!) and the rear was a 998 forged marchesini. Had to powdercoat the rear to match, and it was a bit of searching, but $1300 later I had a forged set of marchesinis :)

I should have mentioned about offset but was thinking either matching rotors for the wheels purchased would be purchased or transferred from the old wheels...
Thanks for the responses everyone. I'm not looking to machine anything or get to fancy. I simply want to have an extra set of wheels for the track that will work when I receive them. Ideally I would like to purchase and slap them on without changing anything. If I have to put rotors on then that's fine, but I don't want to worry about offset or bolt paterns. So I can clarify
998 wheels will work.
S2R8/1k will work if I keep the rotors from the purchased wheels? Are you sure? Thought the rotors on an 800 were a lot smaller. I know the calipers definitely are but not sure about the rotors. They will match up? I know the rear axle diameter is smaller on the 800 so are you sure the rear will fit? Also the rear on an 800 is 5.5?
848 will fit
No other bikes? Any none marchesini rims I can find? Don't care about the look or weight as I'll make them my street wheels. Ideally I'd like them to be a little tougher that the marchesini's.
Thanks guys, your all pros and its great to see 2 people I don't know helping me out with questions. Have to love the Monster Community.
Well, you have to stay with the 320mm rotors no doubt. So any wheel that will not accept the 5bolt 320's, is not an easy option. S4RS will fit for sure. 848 has been listed, 749/999 are possible as long as they are 5 bolt and/or 320's as I believe the 320's are the same offset across these models.
There are a fair amount of threads here that deal with wheel swaps and have info posted by others not necessarily pertaining to the given swap in the thread, start searching...

Right, which is why it's not correct. You can't just use 6 bolt rotors and wheels on a bike that came with the 5 bolts....the rotors are the wrong offset UNLESS you get the corsa rotors. The stock ones (unless off a 996R) won't work. One is 15mm offset, the other is 20mm. I didn't want the guy to go out, buy a set of 6 bolt wheels with rotors, and then get pissed they don't line up correctly is all.
All of the 5 bolt rotors are the same offset. It's the same offset used by the corsa 6 bolt rotors, which is why you would need those if buying a 6 bolt rotor'd front wheel.
Any testastretta bike (749/999/base/s/or r) will work.
Hypers will work
848's will work.
Only OEM forged wheel set off a single bike is the hyper S.
SSSA rear wheels should all work, as long as they are not using the corsa axle.
