Title: Part needed locally Post by: Drunken Monkey on October 07, 2009, 09:44:12 PM Hey all,
The damn brake light banjo (http://www.motowheels.com/italian/myproducts.cfm?parentcategoryid=116|Ducati%20Brakes&productID=3643&showDetail=1&categoryID=475|Brake%20Misc&vendoridtodisplay=0&filterFor=&collection=168|European%20Motorcycle%20Parts) bolt for my front brakes has apparently failed and is no longer lighting up my rear brake. http://www.motowheels.com/italian/myproducts.cfm?parentcategoryid=116 (http://www.motowheels.com/italian/myproducts.cfm?parentcategoryid=116)|Ducati%20Brakes&productID=3643&showDetail=1&categoryID=475|Brake%20Misc&vendoridtodisplay=0&filterFor=&collection=168|European%20Motorcycle%20Parts Anyone know a shop locally that carries these? Ideally I'd like this fixed for the weekend. Title: Re: Part needed locally Post by: Michael Moore on October 08, 2009, 05:32:02 AM I got one of those pressure switches when I bought some rearsets a while back and never used it. I have no idea if it'll work, but it's yours if you want it. Lemme go out to the garage and get more info on it.

Title: Re: Part needed locally Post by: Drunken Monkey on October 08, 2009, 06:40:57 AM Thanks folks.
Micheal, yours probably won't do the trick as it needs to be a double banjo bolt for two lines. So unless you have some super funky rear break setup ;D Title: Re: Part needed locally Post by: MendoDave on October 08, 2009, 06:45:38 AM So this thing just replaces the stock banjo bolt and it has the switch on the end?
Just askin cause I'm tired of the little micro switch & plunger setup. Title: Re: Part needed locally Post by: Drunken Monkey on October 08, 2009, 07:20:27 AM Exactly right. It's a combination double banjo bolt and pressure switch (also available in single line model)
The downside: Apparently they are just as failure prone as the microswitches. [bang] Anyone? Bueler? Anyone? Title: Re: Part needed locally Post by: DanTheMan on October 08, 2009, 08:20:17 AM Try Nichols, they sometime have used stuff laying around
Title: Re: Part needed locally Post by: MendoDave on October 08, 2009, 09:39:17 AM You can have my micro switch. [cheeky]

No only was Scott open, but he had the part in stock [thumbsup] Plus he gave me a set of bar ends to give out as part of tomorrow's Monster Challenge! [bow_down] Scott And just to make things perfect, I ran into petemg there and he gave me a lift home Title: Re: Part needed locally Post by: petemg on October 10, 2009, 06:50:39 PM [bow_down] Scott Amen. And just to make things perfect, I ran into petemg there and he gave me a lift home Didn't that work out well!
