Title: QUAACK DOWN
Post by: dp1098 on May 24, 2008, 07:09:53 PM
Well, every bike goes over sometime I guess - luckily mine didn't sustain too much damage.  I was rolling it forward on the rear stand a few inches and the stand got caught on something and stopped - the bike kept going forward.  Instead of going left to the kickstand side it went right and went down like Monica Lewensky on lil Billy Clinton!  One broke mirror and a snapped clip-on bar and she's outta here!  Mirror: $80  on eBay, new.  Vortex replacement bar: $14.95, seeing your precious Ducati falling over - well, you know how those commercials go...

At the end of the day, I laugh and am glad that it was in my driveway and not doing 80mph on 495.  Is that a silver lining or am I just rationalizing?  Ah, who am I kidding - this sucks!

Must be something in the air...I fell over in the driveway late yesterday.  Broken turn signal fixed by $.30 worth of epoxy hopefully will fix every thing.

Good to hear it was just a drop and not an accident at speed.

At least is wasn't too bad, nor did some soccer mom run over you bike at freshfields and mangle it.
