Title: Buy your bling now Post by: mattyvas on October 09, 2009, 02:03:07 AM Have you seen what the AUD is trading at this week.
So all those things you were thinking about buying or holding off for sometime. Make Christmas early this year and go shopping kiddies.... The latest place I have found www.revercorsa.com (http://) is doing $0 shipping on bigger ticket items. It makes savings of at least $45-$65 US or more and their prices are pretty dam good also. So get out the cyber shopping cart and hit the interweby. Jukie get me a shopping cart smiley will ya. Hey Cairns Duc Are you going to get your shim kit here http://www.emsduc.com/index.html (http://www.emsduc.com/index.html) They look very good, i should order one my self:) Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: CairnsDuc on October 09, 2009, 01:46:19 PM Not sure, I know the kit from Desmo times is the same kit for the same price, but it looks like EMS direct is a bit cheaper for the shipping, I was going to order my belts from Desmotimes, but he wanted nearly $30 US more, so I ordered them from CA Cycleworks, Also got a Clutch securing tool so I can check for this loose Clutch nut problem on the wet clutches.

do carbon guards work???? I've got a carbon exhaust guard but I'm not sure what will happen with the boot rubbing. good idea of rizoma to have the pages natural and the rest black! Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: mattyvas on October 11, 2009, 10:47:24 PM They came with silver carbon look guards.
Went out today, they work pretty well IMO. Having a little trouble getting my boot under to change up though ??? Might have to go reverse shift ;D Yeah black pegs would have been nice to keep things clean. Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: Spider on October 12, 2009, 10:55:41 AM yeah, but the top of the black wears with the boot movement so having it all natural is really clean.

other than ducationly.com.au($35 each :o )where can I get some quality frame plugs in OZ or are OS imports a cost effective option? What other Ducati models should I be looking at with have the same frame size plugs? And Matty what chain are you running and how much was it ? Oh and where/which/how much for lighter wheelset that will fit on the M695 cheers Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: Dannog on October 12, 2009, 12:30:49 PM I've purchased 2 sets of STM frame plugs direct from NFI. (for different bikes) They will sell STM parts to you directly.
Though now with the $$$ the way it is check out PJ Parts as they also have the STM plugs. The finish on either set of heal guards was not great to begin with. For me it is a part that will be worn because that is what it's meant to do, but then I ride with my toes pointing in a little. Dez hit any of the board sponsors on the left and most of them have frame plugs. pjsparts.com is a good place to start as is monsterparts.com My chain is a DID, can't tell you how much it was as it and a quick change sprocket came from previous owner. We will have another 1-2 interest rate hikes before the end of the year. If we see it go up by 1.0% then expect our little AUD to go parity with the US. The surge we have seen is dependant on the IR's increases as overseas money can get far better returns here than buying US bonds. My wife is on a spending spree at the moment. $400+ shoes for $150. $800 dresses for $300, she is in her dream shopping island right about now. Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: MonsterDorf on October 14, 2009, 12:17:54 AM Hmm, you made me do it. Ordered some Bling from Desmoworld on the weekend and it's already on the way ;D
Happy Days are here again. Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: mattyvas on October 14, 2009, 12:37:20 AM Very good Monsterdorf, I am glad to know I am a good influence on your buying habits.
So what's on the way then? Can't just leave it there. Mad Mal, best place to start is with the board sponsors < < < You get good service, good deals and people who are used to dealing with International shipping. Jeff from Monsterparts is well known to many of us here. Many of us frequent pjsparts.com also I have just bought a few things from a new vendor I have found revercorsa.com happy shopping. Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: MonsterDorf on October 14, 2009, 01:00:01 AM Well for starters a nice shinny carbon front guard but really toying with a rizoma rear set.......hmm
This is the front guard. http://www.desmorados.com/shop/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=342_368_369_379&products_id=795 (http://www.desmorados.com/shop/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=342_368_369_379&products_id=795) Ah, the benefits of being bilingual. Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: mattyvas on October 14, 2009, 02:08:46 AM If you are thinking rearsets from Rizoma do check out revercorsa.com
great price and shipping was 0, yes that is Zero. Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: CairnsDuc on October 14, 2009, 03:48:49 AM Well, my orders are on the way
2V Shim Kit Belts Clutch Holding Tool New Torque wrench (Got to check Wet Clutch Nut Torque) Gaskets for Clutch housing Nothing exciting, but 24000 km service is coming up soon, so it all has to be done, in fact all the gear is arriving next week, I'm still 2000k's away from the service, so I may bring it forward. Little nervous about the clutch nut being loose, so I figure while I have everything apart may just do the entire service at the same time. Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: Dannog on October 14, 2009, 04:36:50 AM CairnsDuc, my 24k service will be due in the week or so. I can't believe how fast the K's are ticking over. Did you save much on the belts and shim kit. please let me know where you got them from
Ta Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: dragonworld. on October 14, 2009, 05:26:29 AM 2V shim kit=Phuggin' expensive!! [roll]
In 49,000k of services I've only needed 2 shims, and I got the individual shims from EMS. Mucho cheaper. [thumbsup] http://www.emsduc.com/products.html (http://www.emsduc.com/products.html) Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: CairnsDuc on October 14, 2009, 01:31:08 PM I debated about just ordering the shims I needed, but figured screw it, safer to have them there at the time, when I want to do the job, being a commuter bike doing roughly 200 to 250k's a week,
I can't afford to have the bike unavailable for days while I wait for shims to arrive. Got all the belts and (EMS) shim kit from Ca Cycleworks, if I need shims I will order them direct from EMS. The Ducati dealer that I worked for, the Manager had been servicing Ducati's for years, he had a massive Shim kit (he had it in a large tool box) every shape size and style ever used, and lots of em! shame the place closed down before I needed to do my service :'( He told me to just raid his shim kit when I needed to. I rang him recently to see if he still had his kit, he sold it on Ebay for $3000!! :o Sold it to a dealer in South Australia Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: dragonworld. on October 14, 2009, 01:44:56 PM My major problem is that I would have to buy 2 kits as the older 750 has the 2V shims, but the 1000DS has the 4V shims. [roll] ;D

Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: bazz20 on October 14, 2009, 05:23:24 PM at the price i can get them for it pointless to me to buy a kit and the biggest problem with kits for your own bike is you will never use half of them and as for having the bike of the road if you keep notes you will no what sizes are in each head then when it comes too checking valves it only takes an hour to check all the shim clearance,s then put the bike back together and order new shims and when you get new shims to at your own leisure [thumbsup]

[thumbsup] Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: ollie on October 15, 2009, 01:18:19 AM I have just bought a few things from a new vendor I have found revercorsa.com Hey Matty, did you have any problems ordering off these guys? I tried a few times but keep getting an error message at the final stage of the payment process. Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: mattyvas on October 15, 2009, 01:43:52 AM Yeah Ollie it has some sort of issue but I just emailed them and told them of the problem.
They told me they could see my order sitting in the online store and don't know why it won't continue. I was advised to just leave the order sitting in the cart and send money via paypal and they would clear the order. email the parts manager Paul Sims parts@revercorsa.com and I'm sure he'll sort you out. [thumbsup] Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: MonsterDorf on October 16, 2009, 12:51:50 AM Yep, I'm having trouble too.
Tried to pay via Paypal and Credit card but both failed and put me into a never ending loop.....email sent. Let's hope I don't get 12 sets given the amount of time I tried to get it to work. Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: mattyvas on October 16, 2009, 12:54:53 AM I'm sure you won't have any problems.
I have just ordered another little item from them. Paul is pretty good, you should have an email quickly. I am hoping my item will be shipped tomorrow. Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: MonsterDorf on October 16, 2009, 02:01:42 PM two days have passed still nothing back........is it me?
Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: ollie on October 16, 2009, 03:01:12 PM They got back to me straight away, as matty said email paul - the parts manager - directly and I'm sure he will get back to you.
Paul said that no orders were working correctly through the online shop, and with the US dollar the way it is I'm sure that there is quite a backload of international orders for them to work through ;D Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: Yellow Meanie on November 11, 2009, 08:54:46 PM So here I am, sitting on the bridge, anchored in Moreton Bay.
There's not much going on, so I pull out the laptop - "just for a browse" I tell myself... Then I find the pipe hangers I've been looking for at Oncycles.com And they're cheap too! Only $50. And with the dollar as good as it is, they're cheap-as! The only problem is, Oncycles' international policy is an extra $35 charge to pay via bank transfer :-\ So I thought I'd chuck in some new sprockets or fluid reservoirs to make the transaction worth my while, but they don't have any. :'( And I can't seem to find any more bling on their site that I "need". If anyone needs any bits and pieces from them, let me know and we'll share costs 8) Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: Spider on November 11, 2009, 08:58:41 PM if anyone is getting anything where they sell AFAM let me know, I need a rear sprocket!
just got some bling in the post.....off to install! (probably the last bit for this bike!) Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: mattyvas on November 11, 2009, 09:57:35 PM Then please show us a real pic of your bike.
Do you want me to fly down to shoot it for you! Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: Spider on November 11, 2009, 10:31:45 PM sure, Matty, now I have to go have dinner and it's back down for one more bit of bling.
(other than a spare CRG lever (?) I think the bling cupboard is dry!!!!) my god!!! quickly, someone buy something off me so I can then spend more money on a similar item!!!! Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: techno on November 12, 2009, 03:07:06 AM Then I find the pipe hangers I've been looking for at Oncycles.com And they're cheap too! Only $50. And with the dollar as good as it is, they're cheap-as! There is some cheap stuff on there Dave. Matris rear shock for 749/999 (so should fit my S2R800 if I remove the breather box). MSRP price was $1460 USD and is now $658.70 USD. I'm tempted but I'll bet it will get here and not fit. then I'd hafta buy a 999 just to get some use out of it! Title: Re: Buy your bling now Post by: cabron on November 24, 2009, 11:21:07 PM New to Ducati........

The neater the fit with the clutch set and basket means less rattle and a lot quieter. best to replace the basket [thumbsup] Follow the link bellow previous thread may be of some help [laugh] http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=30345.0 (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=30345.0) |
