Title: Does anyone know why the akrapovic slip-ons won't work on 2006 S2R? Post by: jim_0068 on October 18, 2009, 09:31:21 AM So i have been researching exhausts for my S2R 800 (2006) and it seems like the slip-on's only work up to the 2005 model year. Anyone know why?

difference in the 05 and 06 is the udder is a true catalyst on the 06. they will probably fit but they won't be technically street legal -- that's the only thing I can think of. the bikes are identical in every way exc for the udder. Anyway i emailed Akrapovic and got a reply back saying that it would fit. noise regulations. EPA regulates exhaust emissions and overall noise emissions. if they are street legal, it will have "DOT/EPA APPROVED" prominently. |
